Too big, inactive, not a big enough draw? Yada, yada, yada. Bottom line if team GGG thought he could beat Ward this fight would get made quickly!

Ward isn't fighting. His trainer said he'll need a couple tuneups before he fights anyone big. Ward will not fight anyone worth a damn anytime in the foreseeable future and it's his fault.

Lets hear what you think the purses would be for a non-ppv fight between Golovkin-Ward?
Last two years, HBO averages $30million for their annual boxing budget. What's the most expensive card they paid for that was non-ppv? Ward-Rodriguez ($1.9mill vs $1mill). That's almost 10% of their budget, I don't think they're willing to go much above that for a single fight.

GGG isn't coming to 168 for Ward. Ward damn sure isn't going to 160 for GGG. No real reason to even talk like this should happen.

If anything he said he will fight Ward but that he has to finish what he started at 160. Do you expect him to move up now, put on some weight and fight Ward, then come back down to 160?
Yea but "he said he would fight Chavez Jr at 168", yea he also said he would go to 154 for Floyd. Like he would pass the opportunity to fight on pay per view...

You can say whatever you want but that is not a good look for Golovkin. It is pretty damn obvious why he wouldn't fight Ward especially as his first fight at 168 that would be extra dumb.
Plus Ward needs to get back on the track as well, one fight should do him fine but if I was Ward I would want that Golovkin fight to be as big as possible. He can let Golovkin do most of the heavy lifting, but Ward doing some stuff only helps the cause of making that fight what it could be.
So it is not like he is wrong, but still for most people here that is not something they want to hear. That is the problem with having a super low bar for ducking it comes back around on a guy you want to be more positive on (and there is some reasoning behind it).
