He did! So I don't feel sorry for him at all but he also said HBO pressured him to call out Ward to fight at 168.

As far as I'm concerned that weight cut ruined Bad Chad similar to how the cut back to LHW ruined RJJr. and Chris Byrd.

Wasn't Ward supposed to move up to LHW after the Super Six? What happened?

I saw his fight with Edwin watchamacallit.

I'm not watching any of his fights ever.

Most of what annoys people about Ward is the sense of entitlement people have regarding our athletes. First off Ward owes nobody nuthin'.... He does no have to fight where he does not want to, he does not have to box if he does not want to and, he certainly does not have to enter the ring under contractual obligations he is not comfortable with....thats the bottom line.

People assume because he has talent he owes it to the fans to perform. Promoters also feel that because he obligated himself and now feels like its not a fair situation that he should just go ahead and make money for them...why? because of the contract.

So one might ask: why not try to accomidate Ward? why not ask for a buyout, or give him an option to fufill his contract?

Its so easy for people to cast aspersions but i would like to see anyone here in a situation where you know you are making a promoter rich who you now despise, a promoter who will not compromise, or do anything to address your situation, because you signed a contract. Many of you might well just decide its not worth it. yes its the law but your labor, your health is being put up for a purpose you have grown to hate and you are being forced....Yu have lost all control over your own destiny in a sense. How many of you would be satisfied with a response like "well you signed a contract?"

Ward owes nobody anything. It is his right to simply decide that he does not want to make fans happy and promoters fufilled. How about what fufills him?

Ward good for sport, hopefully sorts out promotional problems

TBH, I don't find it annoying. It's easy to recognize Ward's skill/talent, but he's never been a "can't miss" guy for me. It's worse now because he's cleaned out 168 and there are only a couple opponents that would make sense. The longer he's inactive, the more money HBO can allocate to other fighters and match-ups. Ward's inactivity could be a blessing in disguise.

Ward can fight, arguably the best fighter in the sport. That's all that matters.

He might end up the best 168lber in history who not many will remember in 10 years

                      Galatians 1:10

For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.

Ward, if he feels like it, will come back and beat the shit out of everybody. Right now he's chillin'
