Yeah knockdown didn't look like he was hurt, whereas Kovalev was wobbled by Bhop a little in the last round. Though Kova seems to be a more rounded fighter for sure.
... You sound like B-Hop didn't "run for his life" in the last round.

(Fighters may be wobbled or dropped, but what really counts is what they actually do after that. If they switch to "survival mode" is one thing, but if they KO their opponents within the following round is totally a different thing.)

i don't think kovalev was actually hurt in the last round against b-hop. he ate a few clean shots, sure - caught off-guard by hopkins' valiant last stand, i suspect - but the moment when he stumbled briefly seemed to be just a case of tangled feet. if someone can provide a gif that clearly shows that he was in fact wobbled then i'll be happy to revise my memory of that moment

Yeah their feet were tangled. He wasn't hurt at all.

Ah no he definetely poured it on after that, just pointing out that Kova still has questions to answer about the chin. It could be cast iron, we don't know but it's at least a hint that he can be got to

Kovalev wasn't wobbled in BHop fight - feet tangled and that's it. Next split second he was unleashing huge shots and BHop was running for his life.

If the Krusher hits him like that with 10 ounce gloves and without the headgear it's over.

No he's not. He walked into a punch.

Anybody can get knocked down or hurt, it's boxing.

If it starts happening regularly, then you can say he's chinny.

Bellew wobbled Stevenson. Darnell Boone knocked him out.
We've seen him knocked out with headgear on. Still not sold on Kova's chin, but I don't see much wrong with Beterbiev's so far. Yes he was dropped, but not hurt.

                    Kovalev's not chinny.

It's going to be funny when people continue to say this the rest of his career.... yet what's going to happen is he's NEVER going to lose, he's going to run through LHW and beat everyone and probably never even get knocked down again. He'll be on the verge of retirement with 4 belts and a lineal championship and we'll still see posts on here with people saying hes chinny.

It seemed like Beterbiev was rushing in to try and get an early knockout and ran straight into a punch he didn't see. I hope that wasn't his trainers idea because it was pretty ******, if he does that against Superman or Krusher I think he could get knocked out.

having said that, he looks very powerful. The Light heavyweight division is getting pretty damn good. Just need Ward to come out of retirement!
