My favorite fight and boxing moment in close to two decades of watching this unforgiving sport. I damn near dropped my pants and started doing a celebratory wank of pure joy. Justice was served that night.

I love the drama it created when this had happened in a general view of the sport. I'm speaking in a neutral point of view. Alright, let me explain a paradoxical event that could make or break this fantastic opportunity for a legendary lore in the making this generation have ever seen yet.

Manny Pacquiao is certainly in an awe-inspiring situation; --where he is in a position to create the most legendary career this generation had ever seen.

Just imagine if he had given a chance to fight Floyd and did dismantle him emphatically, this would now make him the supreme cash cow because floyd had directly passed to him the baton of not only the best pound for pound mythical status but unquestionably the greatest fighter of this era.

Alright, since manny is the new cash cow, after winning the battle of the century, arum's group is now able to offer team dynamita a more substantial purse. Remember: marquez is asking for 20mil but team pacman can only offer him 10mil as of the moment. But then, this time around, it's totally different because of the change in circumstance, a 20 mil purse asking of team marquez isn't far fetch at all and most likely arum will give it a go this time. Thus, marquez will eventually succumb to fight this manny version 2.0 and most probably lose the fight emphatically as well.

Now, having defeated the most skilled boxer this generation have ever seen and having revenged emphatically all the 'meaningful' fights he had lost and the only fighter in the history of the sport to win 8 division world titles, imagine the ramification it will bring to manny pacquiao's already legendary career.

So it appears, in the end, that the dramatic knockout loss he suffered from marquez, not only made him more tough and intelligent in the ring as pacquiao 2.0 would suggest, but, it brings in a totally whole new dimension in his already sterlingly rock-solid legendary career and just inadvertently increases it by a hundred folds because of the intensity of the recent events and the drama it created.

"Immortality is a one-time deal that not everyone had a chance to be offered with. The marquez's knockout has triggered it for manny pacquiao, all he need to do is execute."

Boxing fans always loved boxers who rise from adversity, and it's one of the reasons greatest fighter of all time like sugar ray robinson has reached the pinnacle of success in his career which is "immortality" because not only he was able to fight the best opponent in his generation, also, he was able to avenged all his meaningful losses emphatically. This very scenario is shaping to be in the way of manny pacquiao's destiny. Whether he could execute it or not, remains to be seen..

I well never forget that night. Lost my voice from screaming so loud followed by a night of heavy drinking. That KO won't be matched for a long long long time

I was very disappointed with the roid acne going into the Alvarado fight.

I would also like to say that Pacquiao has overcome that KO loss because of how strong he bounced back after that. Meanwhile Marquez has only tarnished his reputation since that day. That's pretty embarassing considering he was the one who handed out the knockout, it's like the opposite of the usual happened after that.
Marquez has had 2 fights since the Pac win. One win over Alvarado, and one close fight vs Bradley. The comeback fights from Pac, aside from Bradley, will be forgotten. Rios, Algieri, Vargas? Beating those 3 shows how great Pacquiao is?

JMM's last fight was a win. JMM tarnished his reputation for not bending over for Pac and asking for 50-50 split? That's all JMM wants, 50-50. If Pac wants revenge, give the man half the purse.

You are delusional. JMM beat alvarado but ducked the guy who destroyed him. Just plain pathetic. And the fight with Bradley wasn't even close. Clear-cut 8-4 for Bradley. Competitive yes, but clear win for Bradley.

Why you throwing the Vargas name around when he hasn't fought him. Typical. Understating the Bradley win. Bradley beats JMM. Pac beats Bradley. Just shows Pacquiao is the more versatile fighter who gives more fighter problems.
