im going by what i see in fights... Ive watched it 3 times and saw flaws!!! Floyd has flaws at this age also... Thanks for those stats though, you cant change my mind man, pac looked pretty horrible technically at points in that fight and if he fights floyd he better not make those same mistakes, manny will touch floyd no doubt but without a jab and no way to defend a right hand i cant see him winning this fight

I sort of agree with op. I'm slightly leaning towards Mayweather but it's close. He would still be the betting favourite. In no way form or fashion is Marquez better than Manny. You can only get your azz whooped so many times. He got fed up and ped up. It's like a bully, you will get him eventually....

here is the punch stats for pac vs marquez 4, before the ko in round 6.

manny: 256 thrown, 94 landed

marquez: 246 thrown, 52 landed


manny threw 10 punches more than marquez did but manny landed 42 more!


now here is a similar fight for floyd when he fought ortiz, rounds 1-4

floyd: 208 thrown, 73 landed

ortiz: 148 thrown, 26 landed

so looking at both fights where it didnt last the whole 12 rounds. the difference between floyd and manny getting hit was only off by 26. and manny was up against the ONLY guy to give him problems, manny was up against his toughest rival whereas floyd was up against victor ortiz LOL!

Cotto and Maidana both showed the ability to make Floyd overcommit on his pull counters and straight right hands, and it's also no surprise that Floyd has a tell when he throws his straight right now (the obvious anchoring of the lead foot with his head out over his front knee, right hand down), which was why Maidana was able to time it with his own feint + right hand

That has been the rumor for a long time but I need to see proof before I accuse somebody of something so serious. What is fact, however, is that the settlement in the Pacquiao/Mayweather lawsuit happened after the Pacquiao camp tried to get Mayweather's USADA testing records. So maybe where there is smoke there is fire.

Maidana timed it correctly once. ONCE. ONE TIME in two fights. Floyd actually varies how he throws it, that's why it's so difficult to time. He changes when he throws it, the angle, sometimes he loops it and sometimes it is a straight shot.
