Arum talking to CBS means a lot, Floyd is not his own boss. I'm sure CBS was fine with him having a bad buy rate with Guerrero since he made up for it with Canelo, which bought him a crap rate with Maidana. Since he didn't look good they had to make the rematch, you are truly delusional if you think a BILLIONAIRE(S) who own CBS are going to let Floyd run anything.

Floyd has his daddies at Showtime and CBS that are paying Floyd now because Floyd left Oscar. When he did that he had nobody but CBS left to front the bill for his purse, he doesn't want to fight Manny but CBS is the one with the final say I bet. I still think he'll fight Cotto first just to avoid the Manny fight as much as possible but if whoever owns CBS says Floyd fights Manny or his contract is void, he'll fight Manny.

Stop it, Floyd will not work with Arum. And Floyd isn't signed to "CBS Promotions", it's Mayweather Promotions, he works with GBP and Haymon to promote his fights and get big contracts. If Haymon and Arum won't work together, the fight will not happen. No matter what you say about whatever billionaire who is behind whatever, and who ever you think bosses Floyd around. Think again. Mark my words, in May 2015, we will have Mayweather vs some one else. Unfortunately, Arum will turn down every offer that is presented to him by the Mayweather camp/Haymon. There's nothing that any CBS billionaire can do about Arum turning down reasonable offers. Arum wants Pacquiao vs Vargas, that's what Arum will get. Arum takes 30% (probably more since Manny received several advancements from Arum which Manny has to pay back) from Manny's purses, a deal offered to Manny by anyone not named Bob Arum would not include that ridiculous amount Arum takes from Manny. Also, Arum has those BS clauses that require fighters to either resign or sign with him.

because that offer was an obvious low-ball offer from Showtime. after taking into account how many entrepreneurs would invest their own money into assisting in the promotion of this fight, something as silly as 40 million + a PPV cut is laughable

that's how you pretend to make a fight you secretly have no interest in making

remember, using the "Manny never made this much in his career" excuse is ridiculous. Floyd has never made this kind of money before either. Both guys need each other to generate this kind of revenue, a real negotiation needs to take place between CBS, HBO, Top Rank and Al Haymon
