I think some fans are so in love with Floyd that they cannot see that asking someone to change their promoter is as silly as asking them to change their trainer (Roach) ... change your promoter is unheard of ever! we have seen Floyd fight Delahoya fighters while he hates him, but Floyd did not mind that knowing he is surely going to win the battle/those fights.

honestly after Manny accepted the extra drug test (just coz Floyd things Manny has done amazing) and accepted the less money split, and ofcourse the venue, date, ring size, gloves ..... i would question anyone's b*lls if they ask Manny to agree and drop his 15 years promoter just to get the fight ... glad manny refused otherwise i would think of him as a Floyd's B**ch .... what's next? change your wife or religion to get a fight with me? lol
How ironic! You do realize...(or I gues you don't) that this is not unheard of. In fact, Floyd more than likely got the idea of Pac and his team! JMM, Mosley and Bradley all had to leave their promoters and sign with TR to get a fight with....YES, that right, none other than Manny Pacquiao.

Two days later, after hours of negotiating during mediation, Arum declared that the fight was officially off after Mayweather refused to agree to a 24-day cut-off date. Mayweather revealed that he offered a 14-day cut-off date to Team Pacquiao, but it was rejected.

Leonard Ellerbe declared on January 18, 2010, that random blood and urine testing will be implemented in all of Mayweather's future fights, regardless of the opponent. On February 13, 2010, in an exclusive interview with David Mayo of The Grand Rapids Press, Mayweather said, "I gave him [Pacquiao] a chance, up to 14 days out. But my new terms are all the way up to the fight. They can come get us whenever, all the way up to the fight, random drug test. That's what it is."

That does not sound like 5 months later. Nice try dunn
I was referring to Manny's acceptance. Please, get off NSB and go to remedial reading with Floyd and manny.

Thanks for that quote (where's it from?) I never realized that Manny was still trying to get 24 day cut-off. I thought Manny wanted a 14 day cut-off. So not only did he want 24, he rejected the 14 day cut-off too! That's crazy!

Which has absolutely nothing to do with offers, counter-offers, or anything regarding Mayweather-Pacquiao? Floyd retired in Summer 2007 when Manny was still at super feather...so no idea what you're on about there (although obviously neither do you). Floyd tried to make the fight before his incarceration for domestic violence, Arum obviously had no intention of making the fight back then. Cut that won't heal, we need an outdoor temporary stadium, any of that ring a bell?

So sorry, I'm not being a "floydiot", I am stating a norm that has been in boxing from the beginning. Where were u when Pac was demanding catchweights, drug testing, ring size, and dictating purses to ther fighters? Were u complaining then??? Funny how Arum and Pac recognize these things, but you can't. If you'd take your head out of Pac's crotch for a moment, maybe you would realize that this is a reality in boxing.
So you are saying that powerlocks and cleto reyes are the SAME???

in other words you should be blaming Floyd not Manny for the fight not happening by saying "Manny made a choice to stick with Arum" rather than saying Floyd's request is so unrealistic he seems he does not want to fight.
Ok i can agree with you on this one. maybe i should blame floyd also on making unfair propositions. but bottom line the fight wont happen too many egos too much bad blood between arum and floyd. people need to stop getting excited just to be disappointed at the end. i know manny wants the fight now and its obvious but floyd doesnt give a flip about that fight. money his not enough for floyd to take this fight. he wants to humiliate and show arum that runs boxing by beating his guy making sure arum is out of the biggest event in boxing and making a load of money. we both know arum wont let it happen. there are so much ego and hatred involve in this fight. i mean i really dont see it happening to be honest

Shouldn't Arum be reaching out to Haymon then both reaching out to Showtime? This is how Showtime can get sued or have egg on their face . Arum does not want this fight - he is Greedy and this is the biggest fight out there why has it not been made with a 5 year demand?, it is something we are not privy too that's happening behind the scenes for this fight to not happen. I think it will because Manny is finally publicly asking for it, not through print, but we heard it from his mouth - that's called pressure, but now you see Arum speed balling and HE is going to kill it - Floyd despises Arum, and Arum knows it, could care less. Arum likes power and in this situation he has power - words for thought...
No he should not because Al Haymon is NOT a promoter and that would be against the muhammad ali act.

Arum talking to CBS means a lot, Floyd is not his own boss. I'm sure CBS was fine with him having a bad buy rate with Guerrero since he made up for it with Canelo, which bought him a crap rate with Maidana. Since he didn't look good they had to make the rematch, you are truly delusional if you think a BILLIONAIRE(S) who own CBS are going to let Floyd run anything.

Floyd has his daddies at Showtime and CBS that are paying Floyd now because Floyd left Oscar. When he did that he had nobody but CBS left to front the bill for his purse, he doesn't want to fight Manny but CBS is the one with the final say I bet. I still think he'll fight Cotto first just to avoid the Manny fight as much as possible but if whoever owns CBS says Floyd fights Manny or his contract is void, he'll fight Manny.
