This guy Chavez made a huge mistake. Unless you're Mayweather, TR actually pays better; Bradley, Rios, Marquez, etc. compared to Maidana, Ortiz, Guerrero, Canelo, etc.

Even their (Haymon/Espinoza) promise of huge money to Stevenson went kaput. It didn't materialize. Fans were robbed of the Stevenson vs Kovalev fight.

The truth of the matter is that 99% of fighters have no control whatsoever as to who their opponents are. Promotional / managerial contracts typically grant opponent selection authority to the manager or promoter. Sure, the fighter can get on twitter and say "I want THIS guy or I want THAT" guy but it is meaningless, as that decision will be made by someone else. Floyd, Cotto, Klitschko, Marquez, and maybe Pac are the only fighters who can actually choose their own opponents.....

Lol yea right NSAC exposed TopRank a long time they Arum is a liar and Marquez is not TopRank they don't negotiate his purse. I remember he was lying amd saying Pacquiao was getting 25million per fight paysheet showed he was getting 8mil per fight. Dont give me that back end bs from ppv. I'll never understand the logic behind why some fans defend this poisonous snake called Haymon. Fighters like Haymon because he gets them paid good money to fight mediocre competition. Who the **** is Thurman fighting? A 40 yr old from italy? This guy is due for a big fight with all his talent and here he is fighting a nobody. Why the **** do we as fans care about how much a fighter gets paid, we wanna see good fights.

Here is the thing and in no way im trying to have these crazy talk or cause a polemic discussion..I heard so many things abou haymon,but from the fighters themselves I have still heard any negative comments about him..Now a days,people dont seem to care about legacy just money,even when they alreadt have the money.What I am trying to say,if haymon its giving you 1 easy fight and you make X amount of money with the promise of a larger purse later on,even if its against a crappy fighter,you would take it,I know I would..I really think he is not here to make any stars,to me it seems he is the snake,waiting till a promoter already did all the work,spent all this money,wait till the contract is up and comes with this flat fee(my guess only),so a boxer goes with him.The problem is that boxing without stars does not generate money,so at the end you are selling your soul for pennies...I really think that with these new Al haymon style,Boxing will suffer a great deal..Chavez jr thinks he knows ,but yes,Haymon told him my fee its 5%(im guessing again) so chavez goes "man thats great,If he gets me a fight for 3 mill all he takes its 150k"..But here is the problem,lawyers,miscellanous expenses,camps,many more thing(that will be legally disclosed) wil take away from chavez or any fighter for that matter....Simply put..Haymon its not good for boxing. Haymon has about 75% of the relevant boxers. More than 3 fighters that you named should be getting notable fights.

Most def, I'm all for boxers getting paid well and if Haymon is stepping up and getting good deals for his camp, then cool.

But if the product quality suffers as a result, the fan base weakens. You can only shove crap cards let alone crap PPV cards for so long before people
start migrating to other entertainment choices.

Think about it. $30 million for a 6 to 1 underdog. WTF? That type of green could pay for several EXCITING match ups.
