There were some shockwaves earlier this week, when former champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (48-1-1, 32KOs) announced that he signed an agreement with adviser/manager Al Haymon.
Chavez is currently dealing with a lawsuit where the boxer is attempting to break his promotional contract with Top Rank. Chavez claims the contract expired in September and Top Rank claims the boxer is still obligated to them for one more fight and has until April of 2016 to make good on that obligation.
The Mexican star is not paying attention to the legal mess and instead is going have Haymon, and adviser's legal team, deal with Top Rank. Chavez is focusing on returning in early 2015.
