Rigo has knocked down 12 of 14 opponents and beaten them all.

You guys tend to be very angry...

The plague! He puts em on their ass, or makes em scared for their life the second he touches em, he may even try to burst their eye out a serious illness indeed. Run from the plague you fools you are wise to do so.

Rigo is possibly the most gifted boxer of my generation but unfortunately he doesn't have much of a future unless he begins fighting more frequently. There are individuals who enjoy boxing for the science/skill that goes with it and in their eyes Rigo is the most gifted boxers alive. While others who watch just for the brutality think otherwise with no good reason outside of their boredom.

Agree and disagree. In fact you have a solid point. The man does have the capability to end fights quick and in spectacular fashion. But he chooses not too and I can't read minds to tell you. The man has the set skills and athletic gifts to tear people apart, if he were to move up I don't see a him having many issues! If he were to be not more aggressive but pressure when times are right (and when he fights, he makes A LOT of opening against his opponents) and knock people out his popularity would sore.

I personally believed he was going to Knock Out the Defenseless Nonito but look who is getting that love now. And their is no way Walters is a more skilled boxer as Rigo.

Of the defensive boxers in boxing today, I find rigondeaux the most exciting one of em all.

              Great defensive fighter. Untouchable.

Kovalev is LHW rigo. Except slicker.

Great comparison! I think Rigo might be a bit more technical

It's ironic though, Kovalev just outboxed a top tier fighter and didn't immediately get labeled boring after a one sided 12 round UD.

Kovalev is more aggressive than rigo. That's the only difference. I think Rigo has a decent offense kovalev when he tries. Rigo obv has the better reflexes and defensive skills too.

There is always one issue or another, we are winning.

If I were Mexican we wouldn't have these problems. Their boxing is hit me and be Hit. That's crazy. I hit and don't get hit. That's what it is all about, I beat you down and you don't hit me.... that's boxing.

It's a comlicated situation, like I said before, I try to do everything well. I don't know what the problem is.

You win and there is problems, imagine if you lose?"

                      -GR

He doesn't see what the problem is? The problem is that you have arrived to a consumer based society called the U.S.A. where it's all about Entertainment.

The Mexicans you were talking about, have a built in ethnic fanbase. They attract paying fans and make money based on ethnic and national pride, the style of fighting is just a bonus. Boxing is an open sport and Mexico turns their fighters professional at age 16 (i.e. Canelo) whereas Cuba's boxing is closed off and confined to the Olympics. And the Cubans in Florida aren't enough to put butts in the seats.

So since you don't have a solid ethnic fanbase (i.e. cuban pride) and there aren't enough hardcore fans who are slobbering your knob for all your talents ---you would have to sell out and fight differently to satisfy the paying American public who wants their fix of entertainment.

Right now out there somewhere, is a potential paying 'mainstream' boxing fan who has easy access to entertainment, whether it be in the form of internet ****, video games etc,. Your job is to convince him on whether he should watch your boring fight or order take out and watch some Netflix instead.

Rigo's style of Boxing would stink out the joint even in the Golden Years of Boxing in America, where it was a mainsteam sport and there were more fans of the sport itself.
