Why bring in Manny? This isn't about Manmy...This is about Floyd's legacy and place amongst the greats.
I did not. don't lie. You decided to use the word simply to exaggerate the point.

Floyd's legacy and place is in my sig-ahead of a number of fighters, including Manny.

Dont see why everyone upset. If it is Showtime offering then hes making them money and they want to continue making money. Floyds an ATG and HOF already so whether he does or doesnt re-sign wont matter.

Manny has ahd a great career, won a FOTD, won multiple FOTY awards and is the 3rd highest PPV seller of all time. Just be satisfied with that, stop trying to place him on the tier he doesn't belong.

Is it really terrible to be the 26th best boxer since WWII?
Lol at you using your ring list again. That is one of many lists out there. It's not the one and only.

its the most legitimate and most current. Unless of course you want to pull up your list from 2011 again.

haha-you guys are so pathetic. rather than just appreciate where manny is you spend all your time trying to bring floyd down to that level. what satisfaction do you get out of doing that?

you would think you guys would be happy that boxing media/journalists actually consider a fighter from this generation to be as good and better as those from the other generations. that's a plus.

not manny fans-whine because its not Manny rather than celebrate the Floyd's, roy's and bhop's. what is it with you guys?

I will have no problem where Manny will be placed in the history books. I have seen lots of great fighters who took on every challenge. I have seen Ali take on fighters where everyone thought he would lose. Win or lose, I respect how he challenged himself. Manny did the same when he moved up from 130 to 147 to fight Oscar with just 1 fight at 135 in between. Everyone including Floyd fans and Team Floyd thought that the fight was so risky for Manny that they thought it was a joke of a fight. Oscar was supposed to win by a landslide.

Floyd has never done something like the above nor does he come close to resumes such as Ali's and Manny's, for example. Now, I get someone such as Larry Holmes and Roy Jones Jr, who were in an era where the risky fights were almost non-existent until later in their careers but Floyd had the opportunities (PLURAL) and preferred to not fight them type of opponents. That is very different and will be part of Floyd's legacy. Like you say, is that terrible? Floyd will still be ranked high but that part will stick with him like glue.

Now its even too late. Sergio Martinez is past it, a Manny fight may happen but it will be way too late. Paul Williams is out ..........

When Floyd fans have nothing in a debate...they resort to attacks on Pac. Like i said this has nothing to do with Manny. For the record, i have Floyd ranked higher than Manny as well. It's about Floyd's place in history.and his legacy. There will be better boxers than him in the future like there have been in the past. Some people only say he is the best because of the era they are living and watching. Pep is all around better than Floyd. Most will not miss floyd.

That's wrong though, there aren't many blind survey composite lists from many of the top writers and historians in the sport. Especially ones that were conducted in the last few months. That's it. You don't agree with it, that's fine.

He could have beaten everyone you wanted and still not be the best ever.
