If my memory serves me correct... Floyd-Oscar was $55 And this fight was $75.

That's a 36% increase in revenue per buy.

Which means if we put it on the same scale, Mayweather-Maidana pulled in around 1.258M PPV buys worth of revenue based on a $55 buy rate.

you can't look it that way without considering inflation.

what you can buy with $55 more than 5 years ago is probably worth around $75 now so i don't think there's a big difference.

I only compared how many bought, and at what price... and the revenue comparison between them.

you said "if we put them on the Same scale..." You can't possibly put them on the same scale WITHOUT factoring a ton of variables. I understand where you're coming from but it's not accurate in the slightest. Maybe if you amend your language and put a disclaimer that you're not actually putting them on the same scale that might be okay

People have agendas and are going to do anything to justify it. Even if the numbers are 100% correct, certain people will never believe it because they have an agenda and no matter what info you present them, they will look the other way or find another way to discredit it.

Almost all PPV figures are projected. The final number is not official, no. But the projections are as official as any other past PPV event.
