One of the worst officiated fights in boxing history. Excessive holding and the referee was ready to break up all in-fighting before Mayweather held. Mayweather was holding Maidana's arm, and Maidana was swinging freely with other arm and Bayless was calling for breaks. Further, Mayweather was never warned for excessive holding. One of the most blatant instances of an impartial referee in boxing history. I wish I could have a refund. Unless Mayweather fights Pacquiao next, I'm streaming for free. Last time I get ****** into a Mayweather fight...

Mayweather ducked Pacquiao and continues to duck Pacquiao...

Styles absolutely make fights, but perhaps Floyd's performance against Canelo told us just as much about Canelo as it did about Floyd?

I thought Canelo would be easy work for Floyd. Canelo is poorly-conditioned, isn't a one-punch knockout artist, and isn't as good a boxer as some folks would like to believe he is. He's a product of strategic matchmaking.

Floyd deserves a ton of credit for beating a much younger fighter who should have been fighting at middleweight, but that doesn't mean that Floyd isn't experiencing some decline.

Even though I don't think Floyd is the same fighter, he's still capable of being the best at 147, which speaks to his talent and training. The problem he faces now however is that his TBE marketing has set expectations that I'm not sure he can live up to anymore. Against a fighter like Maidana, who clearly wasn't content collecting a payday and a loss, it's getting harder for Floyd to deliver the type of performances he was delivering even a handful of fights ago.

Should Floyd retire now? I don't think so. But he's no Bernard Hopkins and I don't see him fighting much beyond his contract if he goes beyond it at all.

lots of ignorant post lets see do people win fights by runing and grabing or by outlanding the guy last time i look boxing is about hitting and not getting hit, why would i alow a guy to hit me if i want to win the fight so if while am moving and hold and useing a defence bout outland the guy with more accurate punches tell me how am i runing the other guy has the opportunity to do the exact same thing any one can get in a ring and chase someone swing like a mad man but it take actuall skill to hit and not be hit

Floyd still seemed a bit buzzed by it for most of the 4th round, so I don't think more time in round 3 would've done much

The only obstacle would be the weight IMO. Broner still doesn't belong at 147 but Chino can't make 140 anymore

Floyd looked old, and the entire event just seemed really underwhelming - the undercard, the main event. Like the Canelo fight, the build-up was the best part.

I was looking forward to this too

He clearly took round 4 off. Trying to clear the cobwebs off from that punch for sure
