But GGG's team was offering up excuses BEFORE the legal stuff. Which is a fact often ignored.
The only points that need to be addressed is. GGG would move up to 168, but it is obvious it had to be financially attractive for him, otherwise why bother? It would be better for him to remain kingpin in his own division. Others at 168 would make him way more money than fighting Ward can.
Ward is sitting in some semi retired state, but claiming he is not. Whether it is due to Legal reasons or his own stubbornness and being hard headed, does not matter. What matters is every passing day, where he stays out of the ring, the more rust builds on his name. When he does bark it is to try to lure 160 and former 160 pounders in the ring. What in the hell is wrong with this picture? GGG said NO, so stop barking about it and grab another fight.
Why is Ward not getting in the ring? We know Goossen is offering him fights. Goossen is smart and has his legal bases covered. What is Ward waiting for?

Regarding a potential fight between Golovkin and Ward, Hermann says the idea is too risky to pursue - because Ward has ongoing legal issues with his promoter of record, Dan Goossen.
