I don't get it. He goes up to fight Sergio at 160. Sergio was bigger than Cotto. Trout was bigger than Cotto at 154! Defend the title against ANOTHER Middleweight Champ in Gennady at 160. You won it from a 160lber, so defend it there. Screw all this catch weight BS! Why should Gennady have to drain down close to 154, when he's always fought at 160, he won the title at 160, so unify it there. Just a bunch of BS anymore with all this catch weight crap. That's exactly right bro, and in Golovkin's case he doesn't particularly need to sacrafice himself and risk fighting drained and depleted anymore because he's becoming a superstar all on his own.

Though, Golovkin badly needs the big money. Not to mention the lineal title. Even a weight drained Golovkin is far too dangerous for a small Cotto.

If I'm Cotto, I ask for a 155lbs catchweight but I know GGG won't accept that, then go for 156lbs but not past 157lbs. Take any advantage that he can get and he should since he's fighting as the A-side.

All that Cotto could get is a 155-156 lbs weight limit -- which is not enough in GGG's case. Don't forget that old and shot Martinez had no legs underneath himself.
