Yeah, it's what I suspected. Ticketmaster turned off the pick your own seats feature recently for a reason. And when they did have it available, they didn't didn't make all the seats available at one time so it looked like it was selling fast.

Plus I said this last month.

I wish I could remember a source (might have been a maxboxing podcast), but barclays is supposed to be significantly cheaper being new and all. And I guess GB's output deal would give them a good price. There's a reason why only Miguel Cotto ever fights at the big arena. If you're not a star, you can't just make tickets super cheap hoping to fill up the place because it's expensive as hell to use.

I'd have to guess K2 will consider this an investment just to build up his fanbase hoping it will pay off in the future.

I guess people are turned off at the ticket prices. They said the lower end seats are sold out, but the 200/300 aren't getting touched.

Makes sense. It's Golovkin/Geale, getting 9 or 10 thousand people in Madison Square Garden for that fight would be crazy impressive.

Looks like K2 and GGG fans overestimated his worth. I guess they thought the viewership was gonna translate into live gate.

              Nope.

And after re-reading the article, the prices are almost the same as Cotto. They're ****ing crazy. Their fault I guess for wanting the big theater.

Guess they stepped up too soon. Well, unless they fight Cotto or JCC next, looks like they're heading back to the Theater.

I can see where they're coming from, but it looks like they stepped up to the big theater too quick. His first solo fight there in Novemeber as the headliner, it was pretty much sold out, place was packed and the environment was electric.

Saw a crap ton of people too afterwards going to the meet and greet.

Huge difference from his first show here I went to. Guess they did overestimate GGG though and his appeal against Geale. Guess if Solimon is next, it'll be back in the Theater

that sucks because I was really thinking of going until I heard all the reports about how great it was selling. I figured I wouldnt be able to get reasonable tix and I dont care about the fight enough to spend money on it
