According to Rafael attendance was 8,572.

More than 4 of Ward's last 5 fights and under 100 short of the attendance at Ward's bout with P4P rated Dawson. His ratings for his last HBO fight were also better than Ward's.

        GGG has been rising!

"The event sold 7,611 tickets at Oracle Arena, for a gate of $706,469. 1,308 tickets were comped to pad the crowd a little bit, but for recent California cards, that's nothing."

GGG fight also has an unknown number of comps. Likely in the 1,000 area as well. Plus the Oracle arena is likely much cheaper than MSG to use so more money is made fighting Okaland than in New York.

Also, what a weird comparison. Using one fight to compare Wards last five fights instead of comparing GGG's last five fights with Ward's last five fights. I could easily say Ward's last fight in his hometown outsold 30 of GGG's last 30 last fights.

Lol, I was at his debut two years ago... No use in comparing. Also this fight is the only one that breaks the limit of 5k seats

weird comparison? this was only ggg's 5th fight on hbo total while ward had an entire super 6 with some of the largest publicity seen for a division in boxing for the last two decades to proceed and build his rise to the boxing mainstream. even still the super 6 finals with froch didn't do tonights numbers so that is a much more strange comparison.
