After rewatching the fight I kept my previous score and had it 7-5 Canelo. Lara wasnt running as I previously thought, he was just refusing to allow himself to get cornered. He pot shotted most of the rounds and only landed a good straight left 3 or 4 times at the most a round, while Canelo more often than not was landing a good flurry or two to the body, and or a few left hooks to the body.

This was a close fight, very close. I just felt like Canelo landed the more effective shots and at a higher frequency.

If you look at compubox Canelo landed twice to three times as many power shots in half the rounds. And in a few other rounds he still landed more by 1 or 2.

The only thing Lara did more of altogether is land jabs. I mean are jabs worth just as much or more than power shots?

"clear win for lara. i had it a one point fight, and it was close."

how on earth do people say stuff like this with a serious face?
it's a one point fight? many rounds were close? yet it's still somehow a clear win?

      huh?

there were many close rounds. it was a close fight.

depending on what you like, lara's movement and clean punching, or canelo's body work and aggression, many of the rounds could go either way.

and trout polls were closer, but i guess trout is american with huge fanbase right?
and the media?? are they also biased? the majority of people on the sport has it for canelo or see this as a close fight, but to call it a robbery its just biased...
by the way chavez-vera 1 you had a mexican in the polls and a huge majority thought he lost... you guys need to get over...
i i forgot the main thread poll was 50-50 , oh wait is also a mexican vs a cuban...

apparently some here think that jabs are power shots to the head...

Neither or both. Noone can say either man won clearly, at least not in the eyes of the boxing world.

Yep that's right, a close fight but Canelo was the more deserving winner. It's cool to see most people think that.
