Elroy1 called Joe Louis a talentless, drunk, bum. That tells you all you need to know about the guy.

Use your head you utter ***wit.

Also....why was he out of the ring for a year if he wasn't contemplating retirement? What was he doing? You've ducked that question twice now.
Oh yea? Upset are we? Over the internet? Great.

Only Lennox knows why he took a year off but it wasn't because he was going to retire. He never mentioned it in present tense prior to the Vitali fight. Never. Why did he not vacate before between fights like he did when the WBC ordered the rematch? It was because he would have rather retired than get the sh@t knocked out of him again.

You're the delusional nitwit homer with union jack colored glasses on that can't see past the bifocals. It's pointless debating with somebody who doesn't have the brain power to do so rationally.

F@ck off. I'm done with you.

Yeah it upsets me that people who are this ******ed actually exist. I'd love for there to be a genocide for people like you.

He took a year off because he contemplated retirement! How hard is it to understand that? Were you watching boxing at the time? He was 36 years old and had achieved everything he'd wanted to in the sport. He mentioned it several times in interviews that he didn't know if he was coming back or not and that he had contemplated retiring. The only reason he eventually decided to come back was money.

Speculation has been mounting over the last six months that Lewis will retire from the sport altogether rather than step back into the ring.

And on Sunday he fuelled those rumours, saying: "Retirement - that is an option for me. I can sit as the emperor of boxing, as Don King kindly described me. It's certainly tempting."

Why would a 36 year old boxer take a year out if they weren't considering retirement?

Vitali was clearly winning the fight 4-2 on all 3 scorecards at the time of the controversial doctor stoppage. Lewis barely survived the 2nd round and almost got KO'd, he was badly hurt, holding on for dear life, wobbling everywhere and staggering around the ring like a drunk. Lewis was badly hurt several times in the fight and was getting outboxed, outworked, outmuscled and outlanded by Vitali.

              punches landed

              Vitali 156

              Lewis 102

Lewis was exhausted, worn down and hurt from the accumulation of punches and was ready to get KTFO again, he collapsed onto his stool at the end of the 6th round, Vitali was clearly the fresher of the two, he was a man on a mission and would've KO'd Lewis for sure if the fight had continued.

After the fight, Vitali intimidated the **** out of Lewis and made him look like a *****.

All the fans at Staples Center cheered for Vitali and booed Lewis after the fight.

              Lewis promised Vitali a rematch.

Vitali destroyed Kirk Johnson in 2 rounds and called out Lewis again in the post fight interview. The scared Lewis retired shortly after that fight.

Lewis turned down 40 million dollars for a rematch and retired like a coward because he knew he would get destroyed by Vitali.

Vitali dominated Lewis and scared his ***** ass into retirement.

George Foreman: "Vitali was winning the fight. Lewis got lucky. There has to be a rematch!"

Jim Lampley: "A lucky escape for Lewis who was clearly losing the fight"

Even Emanuel Steward was upset and pissed off at Lewis for blatantly ducking a Vitali rematch.

Lewis is scared to death of Vitali.
Somebody doesn't seem to remember Lewis landing that right hand in the last 20 seconds of round 6 and Klitschko holding on kinda desperately to end of the round.

"Corrie Sanders is one of the hardest punching heavyweights of all time"
Everybody knows that a southpaw heavyweight with fast hands is very dangerous and Sanders had arguably one of the fastest straight left hands ever for a heavy. that much is not debatable. He caught Wlad cold and he didn't recover. He couldn't do it to Vitali. In fact he wasn't even competitive with him when he had been in every other fight he had ever had. That says something about Vitali's mettle whether you get it or not.

                  I'd say pretty fucking good.

I'd say with all things considered, there aren't many HW's in history that I would give a nod over him in a fantasy matchup.

He's a tier one guy, in my book.

As with all Klitschko fans, excuses come to the rescue. Lewis never laid out cold.
                    Name the KD's then...........

If you can name 12 I will admit that Wlad has a weak chin.

                      All Time Great!

Lennox Lewis DESTROYED US HEAVYWEIGHT BOXING BY HIMSELF! I was a fan, he is one of my favorite Heavyweights ever so I won A LOT OF MONEY during his ERA against Bias Fans here in the US who was against him because he wasn't American.

Lennox put together a great career and a strong resume, also he came back and avenged BOTH OF HIS LOSSES!
