By the way, see for even more info on this situation. Most knew that there was more to the story than Schaeffer not wanting to work with Arum. Thanks to Mr. Hauser we now have a little more insight into the matter. Oh, so Haymon and Schaeffer were trying to buy out Oscar? Hm. Makes sense now. Anyone calling this trash journalism should try reading the bias nut-huggery they publish on floyd-hype.com, then you will realize that this article is a breathe of fresh air.
It's kind of sad how Haymon brought this all on himself. We wouldn't have to "speculate" and these articles wouldn't have been written if he had been more open and transparent, instead of hiding in the shady darkness of secrecy.

It took some searching to remember where I read the article that coined the term "New Breed," for those who don't know what I've been talking about, and I finally found it on an article from *************.com by Sean Crose. You can read it here:

I found the 20 million $ worth of airtime that Haymon wwNts to buy from NBC VERY interesting.
That's a huge investment, the guys that we as fans see as stars, aren't stars to the average sports fan. We have already seen the difference in ratings between hbo and Showtime, Showtime just can't mimic what hbo can do.
Now Haymon wants to buy up airtime to showcase his fighters, and sell the ad space himself. Now this is coming from a guy who has Floyd under his control, the biggest name in the sport, and this guy has NO SPONSORS! Now he is going to sell 20 million $ worth of ad space?
That will be interesting if it happens, that's really the biggest revalation in this article. clearly shows Haymon is desperate to air time.
Even the UFC on regular TV has been a bust, ratings have plummeted.

“Scary smart,” one person who has dealt with him over the years calls him.
Would the writer phrase the sentence with the part that follows after the comma in the way he did if that was his own characterization of the man? No...he's just repeating a description attributed to Hymen by a third person, that's why he put that person's words in quotations. It's NOT a first person opinion.
That's the problem with some Floydiots versus the true intelligent Floyd fans who I do respect. Failure at reading comprehension inflames their passionate biases for the wrong reasons, because of their own failure to understand what they've read. Just miscomprehend something and run with it like fools.
On a side note, when I read your prior comment to which hitking replied, I knew what you were subtly hinting at but at least had a little more conscience than to blatantly state it. I had to Google what HNIC means. Count on your good ol' buddy hitking to come out and say it for you, playing the race card. LOL
'Nuff said.

GBP was the best promotional company until Oscar stood up to Shaffer and Haymon. Now GBP is trash, and you guys are still waiting for Floyd/Haymon next step in order to support the next best promotional company ( it will be Whichever company Floyd and Haymon are involved with). It's time to fill the void in our lives with the financial sucess of complete strangers. When I watch espn classic I don't care about what car Duran drove, his pay or ratings. You guys are obsessed with numbers anything not boxing related it's like a reality show keeping up with the Mayweathers. The only thing that concerns me is that we are not getting the fights that we want to see. Mares vs Gonsalez, Broner vs Maidana or Garcia vs Matyss. We are not getting these fights even with the rematch clauses. I think it's good for boxing if this new promotional company works with the others. If not more that a new boxing's ufc type of company we will finish with a boxing's wwe type of company. It doesn't matter if you have all the talent if you are reluctant to make them fight each other and don't want to share profits with other promoters.

Then when they get easy fights and look like **** they get EASIER fights like the ENTIRE Garcia/Salka card. I meant meaningful fights to the sport, we haven't gotten May/Pac because of this **** and we get the same rehashed fights because they won't do business with anyone else. Obviously, they have to fight at some point, but I don't want built talent, I want MADE talent that's who the real champions are. Don't force feed me 5 fights with bums then 1 super fight, it should be the opposite if you want me to pay ONLY for boxing.
And no, they weren't supposed to be easy fights. Matthyse was coming off a loss. Khan-Collazo was a pick 'em fight. Be honest here.
Besides, even if they were ****ty fights! that wasn't the point anyway. You said he wouldn't match his guys -- never mind the fact that it's only recently he's even had enough guys to do so -- and said he had only done so three times in 14 years.
That was incorrect, whether you found those fights ****ty or not. (And the aforementioned fights were pretty meaningful. Garcia-Matthyse was for 140 supremacy, B-Hop-Shumenov was a historic unification fight where a record was set, Porter-Paulie was Porter's coming-out party...)
I damn near showed you three fights in one night.
And be honest here. Those weren't crappy fights. You're just saying that because you want to prove a point.
Why do you really dislike him? Change resistance? The unknown? Bigotry? I'm trying to understand because logically speaking your criticism of him not matching his fighters is utterly unfounded.
