Maidana has beaten Karass (not top 10), Lopez (not top 10) and Broner (5-10) and he has also lost to Alexander (5-10)

Kovalev has beaten Cleverly (top 5), Campillo (top 5) and has never been beaten as a pro.

He also has a highly controversial loss to Kotelnik, a close decision loss to Khan, beat Ortiz, Corley and Morales.

Kovalev's resume is really not special. And you also have to take into account that the LWW-WW division is a helluva lot deeper and filled with more quality than the LHW division.

All at 140, and his win over Corley was controversial. Assess Maidana as a welter and his best win is over a guy who has had one controversial win against Paulie Malignaggi.

Perceptions of 147 being deep are irrelevant when it's filled with blown up 140lb fighters.

Floyd's only real notable win against a quality fighter in his prime was against Jose luis Castillo, and he lost the first fight. I don't know how you can be an all time great with only 1 notable win.
Coming from an Aaron Pryor fan? lol your a joke

if you are gonna have 4 fighters occupying 2 spots on your favourite fighter list it would make more sense to just make a top 12 instead of top 10 list don't ya think?

He definitely doesn't have the better resume, but I don't think you can judge all fighters by the same book, each are great for different attributes/achievements- Hopkins is obviously because he's been operating at such a high level for such a long time.

Why would i do that? I'm assessing who has the better resume. His standing doesn't get nullified just because he moves up a weight.
