I'm not surprised by this, everyone that I have heard talk about sparring Maidana says he has freakish power.

The same was said about Margarito, even though I know most will accuse him of having bricks in his gloves even in sparring....lol

Why are people surprised? He was asked a questioned and he is genuine in answering from what I could see. Boxer spar a lot of people over the years so they don't have to lie "Out of respect" to anyone. Just because Provo looks like he hits harder on TV doesn't mean he actually does.

Maidana would stop Algieri. That's a testament to how limitied Provo is. And Provo hits hard, but why are people surprised Maidana hits harder? He's more accurate and can time his shots also. That makes a big difference. Provo just wings em and hopes to land. Maidana does tha to, but not the whole time.

I wonder what boxers would say about who hits harder: Lucas or Chino.

My guess is that Lucas hits harder per size, but Chino is bigger so does hits harder due size advantage.

Only someone who has faced both would know, though.
