Trinidad did get busted in the next fight from the same guy that got Margarito.

I agree with his stance on steroids in a way. It would be a good deterrent for guys at the elite level.

Joppy is just butthurt that Tito beat the piss out of him.

Regarding Trinidad's "illegal" wraps - That's been thoroughly debunked dozens of times. Trinidad had nothing illegal in his wraps, his trainer was just wrapping his hand with standard wraps differently than what was protocol in New York at the time.

IIRC, Tito's trainer was taping the wrap to the skin. At the time, tape wasn't allowed to come into direct contact with the skin. Not sure what the current rules are, but all that fuss was literally over some tape touching Tito's wrist.

It wasn't legal in NY at the time, but it was legal in nearly every other state that Trinidad had fought in prior to that night.

Everytime I hear the name Joppy I always get flash backs of the horrendous beat down Trinidad gave him. Brutal just brutal, no reason to complain a decade later.

Joppy is still mad he got ko'd like what 13-14 years later? As for Tito's wraps, I doubt some extra tape and gauze is going to turn someone into a monster puncher.....it was nothing at all like Marg's situation.

Are you sure? Taping directly on the fist has, to my knowledge, been illegal in the last 100 years. Not saying it has been illegal everywhere, but still.

                    I'm absolutely positive.

It was all a big fuss over a particular wrapping technique, but people like to act like he was busted with plaster or some ****. Probably because they didn't even start watching boxing until De La Hoya/Mayweather so they have no perspective on what actually transpired.

I may be wrong on the legality of it in Tito's prior fights but - His wraps had been signed off on by State-appointed athletic directors for his entire career up until the Hopkins bout, so I think it's highly unlikely that he was doing something incredibly dubious or illegal.

It was just the way his dad wrapped his hands.
