Schaefer was busy with contracts, but not Golden Boy promotions contracts.

Ellerbe said that Monday. On Tuesday he said Floyd wants to fight Canelo again and they want to work with GBP in the future.

Honestly, I don't see who they can get to promote their fights without GBP's infrastructure. I'm sure once they sobered up this morning they realized that. Haymon is not exactly Mr. Popular in most Boxing circles and Schaefer will be on the sidelines for as long as the non compete clause is in effect.

So where do guys signed exclusively with Haymon go? Even Thurman was talking about possibly signing with Top Rank. Guys aren't going to sit around for months-a year+ waiting for Schaefer and Haymon to get their new venture off the ground. Plus there will most likely be a long drawn out legal battle over Richard's negligence and clear conflict of interest during his time as CEO. He was entrusted to act in the best interests of Golden Boy but he was clearly nothing more than a stooge for Haymon and Mayweather.
