I keep seeing this ****** list and it's annoying.

It's useless when Haymon can't provide fights for these people. Showtime simply don't have the kind of deep pocket HBO have. SHO can't accommodate all of them and make them fight frequently.

Look at that list. I barely see many of them fight. SHO/Haymon/Schaefer have been putting all their eggs in one unprofitable Mayweather PPV basket. I'm a SHO subscriber and have noticed that the non PPV fights they've been producing are becoming rarer and rarer.

Why do people keep posting that list? Paul Williams? Really guys?

Berto and Matts took time off after hard losses-just as Manny did after JMM. Be serious dude.

Khan had a fight scheduled and canceled it then fought a few months after. Ghost had a promotional suit that was resolved. Facts dude.

Like I said, you know where the problem is but you are more interested in seeing Haymon lose his power and influence than you are resolving the cold war.

How about we boycott HBO until Herschman is willing to work with all managers/promoters?

What did HBO boxing become under Al Haymon's influence?

AL Haymon's job as a manager is to get his fighters the best paydays. He did that. WHy would you have a problem.

We can agree it ****** having to watch Berto and bum of the month and some of the other putrid HBO fights. why would you blame Haymon for decisions made by HBO brass? Herschman came in, banned Haymon, fired Kerry Davis, and didn't improve the quality of programming on his boxing shows. You still blaming Al?

Haymon's classified as an "advisor", but it's been long alleged, by writers and now in Main Events lawsuit that he acts as much more than a manager and more like a promoter.

There were reports going back that during the pre-GBP ban era, he was dealing directly with Greenberg and Davis in some negotiations.

And Berto is certainly a one example of what HBO was offereing during the height of the Haymon/HBO days.

Haymon's plenty cozy with Schaefer, and supposedly Schaefer was trying to strong arm HBO into taking bad fights by threatening to take fighters over to SHO.

I kinda like seeing Haymon and Schaefer releated to SHO.

Hopefully what we're seeing with GBP now will lead to something better.

Haymon got his power and influence the same way Bob did-by leveraging his biggest asset. You can't suddenly get mad about this tactic now.

Look at the stevenson stuff, alot of people just blamed haymon. Then when rick reeno posted the truth, we saw that it was HBO management's indecisiveness and poor planning that caused the problem.

We can agree that everything al has done has not been great for the sport but that is the same for Arum, King, etc.

I will acknowledge that 2013 was a great year for boxing, but 2014 has been less than stellar and the trend is heading downward. Sure, we have several good fights coming up...but the biggest are all PPV, just like it used to be around 2004-2010.

Showtime/Schaefer/Haymon made 2013 be fantastic for a couple reasons; they invested big time in Mayweather and needed to try to attract many more subscribers and get big PPV numbers. As such, we got several great cards on Showtime and the stacked Mayweather-Canelo card.

Now they are struggling to put big cards on Showtime and the PPV undercards are not going to be as strong. They built up some good will last year but this year it is tapering fast.

As for Stevenson, the reason HBO didn't buy the Fonfara fight is because there was still no guarantee that Kovalev would be next. They still bid on the fight, it's just that Haymon got Showtime to outbid HBO for it. I don't think anyone can blame HBO for that, nor can that look back in retrospect and say, "That was a very good fight!" because no one thought Fonfara was going to be that competitive.
