Sorry you and bungalow keep mentioning that showtime has no money...

Do you have any proof of this??? dont the PPV earn you money?? Thats why everyone is saying that untill he heard both sides offer,he is a fool if he resignes. I respect cotto, he did sit down with both sides and came to the conclusion that HBO for the moment had the best deal. ok cool not gonna hate, but you are not gonna listen to the other side and just go by speculation that TR/HBO have the best offer? based on what??

I wouldn't put it past Bob to do so. He's been in the game long enough to know how to lock fighters up in contracts so they don't stray far from the piggy bank.

Call it smart or what have you, but it's the nature of the promotional game.

If he made it equally comfortable for fighters to accept terms by offering reasonable incentives, they wouldn't be trying to break or buy their way out of contracts.

I'm not an insider, but after a while one can sense the so-called "shady" nature of the business.

A fighter or any athlete is obligated to educate himself and/or get the right/trustworthy financial/managerial advisers around him so he doesn't get screwed over the long term in money matters or otherwise.

Keep on running, Manny. Looks like Bob got him by the nut-sacks and isn't letting go anytime soon 'til Manny finishes paying his debts owed.

He decided to do OST only after Marquez landed the hard right. He wouldn't budge on it for the 4 years Floyd had requested it of him, and after he so-called "agreed" to do it.

Thats where i have a problem with your logic so far...

You simply dont know who can offer you most untill you sit down and listen to what both have to offer IMO. You act as if you know business that well but i wanna know where they teached you not to listen and to negotiate with all parties??

second if someone has a link with proof that Konz is being payed by Arum or something of that nature that would be nice

I mean who would want a manager who doesnt solely has only your best interest at heart. Konz cant do business for pacman if he is working for Arum. These are the two red flaggs i see.
            1) resigning without knowing your market value
            2) having a comprimised(not objective) manager making deals for you

JCC Sr had so many financial problems with Don King even when he was the top earner at that time after Tyson went to jail. JCC sr made more money when he left King and had to sue him.

These guys don't understand that they have enough star power that they don't need these promoters anymore that bleed them to death.

Most aren't educated in those matters and don't know where to turn or who to trust. Very few have trustworthy advisers like Ray Leonard had. They figure money matters will take care of itself when it's all said and done.

At the very least, they could seek the advice of the successful fighters who have carefully managed their careers and finances.
