Well maybe the people who makes those odds do so cuz they know what they are watching, maybe Floyd is always a huge favorite no matter who he fights because the oddsmakers KNOW Floyd is THAT good and they wanna protect their money....and on the other hand maybe they don't think Manny is that good and hence why the odds are so close....

That's exactly right. Pac's fans never call for Pac/Martinez or Pac/GGG because they know he'd get destroyed. Yet they claim that Mayweather has been ducking both, ignoring the fact that him and Pac share the SAME weight class. It's because they know that Manny doesn't have the skill to compete with bigger guys, like Mayweather does. That's why Floyd used JMM as a tune-up and Pac got put to sleep by a two year older version of Marquez. "Skills pay the bills".

Btw, it's funny how Arum hasn't mentioned Canelo as a potential opponent for Pac. Since Manny fought DLH, Hatton and Mosley after Floyd did, why not ask for Canelo @ the same catchweight Floyd fought him at? Knowing Arum and Freddy "I saw your last two fights" Roach's matchmaking checklist, Canelo would have to take a beating or get KO'd before they entertain the notion of fighting him.

The fact is, Mayweather is so dominate that people want to see him fight guys who outweigh him by 15-20lbs, just to give him a challenge. On the other hand, Pac can't beat a faded Marquez, and had issues landing clean on Bradley, who managed to injure himself during both fights.

And I see 3 outta 4 top 10 P4P guys in Pacs last 4 fights.

On floyd's I see -

a 10/1 underdog
a 23 year old who had to fight at a catchweight and could only eat cucumbers for dinner and was paid 5 million to take it easy
Guerrerro who skipped a 140, beat Berto (who freakin sucks) and thats it at 147
And Ortiz - no comment here neccessary

HAHAHA what about all of those catchweights that the catchweight king fought Cotto, Margacheato, Marquez. Most of Pacs opponents were coming off losses. Pac had the opportunity to fight Mayweather but the guy did not want to take the OST test which if i had been the other way around Mayweather would have gotten cruxified. Pacbums don't know $h@t about boxing. Floyd would wipe the floor with this dude just like Marquez did in 4 fights.

Let's think about it^
1. Floyd fought old lazy fat Cotto, after Pac has beaten the **** out of him.
2. Floyd fought green young Canelo, who hardly make 154, and who had to make 152.
3. Floyd took Salido's leftover in Guerrero.
4. Floyd fought Ortiz, who did nothing in boxing.
5. Floyd fought old slow Mosley in 2010, 1.5 years after his previous fight.

Floyd ducked younger Mosley in 2007
Floyd ducked Wright
Floyd ducked Margarito

Floyd is ducking Pac for 5 years

How such coward could be among the greatest boxers of all time? L***1077;onard fought everyone. Ali fought everyone. Whitaker fought everyone. etc. etc.

Sorry, but it was Arum who kept Floyd from Margarito and Cotto, which is why Floyd got pissed and bounced. It was Shane who was ducking Floyd since the 90's (tootaches, etc.), because Oscar was the big fish then. No matter how you slice it Floyd's resume is much better than Pacquiao's AT WELTERWEIGHT, and he's the undisputed P4P champion of the world.

I wouldn't say that Mayweather's recent opponents are exactly top-tier, or even gave a good performance. Ortiz, Cotto, Guerrero and Alvarez? Mayweather sucker-punched his way to a victory over Ortiz, whose heart and skills are in question. Pacquiao destroyed Cotto 2.5 years before Mayweather fought him. He's also never been quite the same after the Margacheato fight. Guerrero beat Berto, but had nothing vaguely resembling champion skills against Mayweather. Alvarez looked like a big, slow, frustrated and star-struck kid, not quite ready for the big leagues. We all know Mayweather cherry-picks his opponents. To even suggest that he takes on all top-tier competition is a farce. If he would so easily outmatch Pacquiao, which I doubt, why not fight him? He has surely taken on lesser opponents before.

Arum didn't want to give Floyd the megafight with Oscar, and even admitted his percentage would be too low, so it wasn't worth it. Floyd left and the rest is history. Manny should follow in Floyd's (Cotto/Marquez) footsteps. Leave Arum, get the megafight!
