1) Arum has put his opponents in with fighters where they were heavy underdogs
Arum put Chavez Jr with Martinez where everyone knew the odds were heavily in Martinez's favor.
Now he put Cotto in with Martinez. Cotto is the underdog.
2) Oscar: Manny faced several opponents where he was not heavily or actually not favored to win. Oscar had just fought at 150 so the consensus, including Oscar himself, was that going down 3lbs was nothing. Especially when you compare that to Manny who was one fight away from being at 130. Nobody was giving Manny any chance. Roger Mayweather was interviewed and said it was a joke of a fight because Manny stood NO chance of winning.
Weight issue was never made to be an issue until after the fight. Furthermore, Oscar held all the cards and thought going down 3lb from his previous fight would be a non-issue.
You know the above but pretend to forget the truth about everything going into the fight.
3) Mosley: Whoever Manny picked, it was to be his first fight against a true WW. Fighting the guy who beat Mosley in Cotto, was an excellent pick and an obvious one and you know it. Besides being the guy who beat Mosley, the reason is that Cotto was a TR fighter and brought in more money than Mosley.
BTW: In 2009, Manny fought Cotto while Floyd fought a Marquez who had never fought at 140 nor 147
When was the last time that Floyd attempted to fight someone where he wasn't favored? He had that opportunity against Martinez but ducked that one.
Again, Manny has lost before and a loss to Floyd would have been just another loss BUT Floyd's thing is that he doesn't want to risk losing a fight. If he did, Martinez and Manny fight would have already been put into the history books.

I hope this fight never happens ..ever. . Sick of the soap opera by both of them. I hope this ends up as an espn documentary with them being old and grey and still making excuses. It doesn't make sense any more, if floyd wins, manny is obviously not the same fighter so it wouldn't mean a thing, this is what's gonna happen next few years.
Mayweather vs khan / garcia / thurman *retires
pacquiao vs marquez 5 / bradley 3 / marquez 6 *retires.
Good riddance, i hope and pray it doesn't happen. To hell with it.

Dumb asses. Roach said " Bob wants this to be our last fight ". If that's not a ****ing reality check to the simple minded I dont know what is. They are going to keep milking Pacquiao then they want to cash out with a Mayweather fight. Mayweather doesn't need these clowns and they should've, would've, could've. These ****ing guys don't care about giving fans fights they want to see. Otherwise the fight would be done. They want to use Mayweather to cash out big. Anyone with a ****ing brain knows Mayweather would wipe the floor with this bum and they couldn't make any more money off him. That's why they want it to be the last fight. If Mayweather taxed him then he loses his value just like he did when Marquez KO'd him. So Rob Arum is going to milk Pacquiao until the end of his career then try to cash out off Mayweather's name. Even though the fight should have been made.

Mayweather makes top fighters look like bums. Even at his old age. He'd do the same **** to this guy because he's not doing anything spectacular. He's not doing ****. He's not as fast as he use to be and even when he was Floyd would match him with speed. His chin isn't as good as Mayweather's. Nor his defense. The guy would do nothing but eat right hands all night while Mayweather boxed on the outside.
Rather than worry about a fight that's never going to happen and I already know the outcome of it, I'll worry about other fights that are in the realm of reality. Go Canelo vs Lara. Go Ward vs any ****ing solid opponent. Go Santa Cruz vs Rigo. Go Wilder vs Stiverne vs Arreola winner. Go Thurman vs Garcia or some other solid opponent. **** Mayweather vs Pacquiao.

Roach just openly admitted that Bob Arum wants the Mayweather fight to be Pacquiao's last and yet Pacquiao's fan base on Boxingscene STILL blames Mayweather for it. This is the unbelievable stuff that has me baffled. I mean, people can't be this ****** or blind when the words are coming straight out of the horses mouth.

The only thing I know is that as a promoter Bob Arum was supposed to make the fight for Manny Pacquiao from a business/money aspect but didn't due to his personal grudges against Mayweather and Golden Boy. I never understood how any professional boxer would let Arum stagnate their careers but not allowing them to fight outside of the company to enhance their status/prestigue/pay. I would never stagnate myself or my career for someone else's agenda/ego/grudge(s). I wonder if guys like Bradley really would like to fight Mayweather but doesn't speak on it because Arum doesn't want it. Arum is a wily old coot.
