Cotto listened to Roach about taking this fight because we all know Roach loves handicaps but Cotto is going to get beat down.
good point about Chavez junior, of course Brandon Vera outboxed Chavez jr. Brandon Vera!!!!

Is Martinez shot, no way, is he the same dude that fought 3 or 4 years ago? not quite but not that much different. In every fight there is almost always circumstantial things going on that diminishes one fighter over another. Against Pavlik Martinez was fighting a guy who unbeknownst to most of us had a serious substance abuse problem and a serious weight problem. Pavlik certainly wasnt helped by the fact that he got mind ****d by Bernard Hopkins in a really dumbass fight that was meaningless for him to take at 170. He should have never went back to 160. Still he was close to KOing and coming on late in the Martinez fight.

Chavez jr took a beating but he landed his share of punches on Sergio and almost had him gone. Punches he was able to land were hard jabs and hard left hooks to the body. that ultimately gassed Martinez. Guess what Cotto has those same punches in his arsenal and a Freddie Roach who has seen Martinez already. Big advantages.

Cotto might get his ass beat or he might just simply come up short, then again he might show you and a lot of the doubters out there why he has been at the top for so long. Roach has the right idea with him, more aggression, more volume, back to a meaner Cotto, the guy who was ripping peoples heads off and causing them to **** blood as a junior welter and welterweight. regardless we will be highly entertained and I hope a handicap doesn't determine the fate of this fight.

Here's the thing. Cotto doesn't have the power, size or speed to give Martinez any real problems. Chavez Jr, Pavlik and so on at 160 hit like sledge hammers and Sergio took their best, got off the mat and finished strong. I give Cotto all the respect in the world for taking this fight but Martinez is going to give Cotto a severe thrashing. Cotto is not a stick to the plan fighter because as soon as he sees he can't do anything to Sergio Martinez is going to try and get on his bike. Cotto is getting KO'd and I'll put 1 billi E points on it.

He is 40 years old and has been inactive, unable to even run, for 18 months. I say there is a strong possibility of him being shot. And I am sure Cotto thinks like me, otherwise he would have never agreed to fight Martinez at 160 lbs.

Anyway, we will find out if Sergio is shot or not soon enough.

In that regards Cotto is far more shot than Martinez considering the type of beat downs and punishment he went through. Martinez is a good conditioned and athletic boxer. Cotto doesn't even stand a chance against the top 154lb and he is supposed to beat Martinez who KO'd the majority of his opponents since putting PWill out cold. Roach gave Cotto the wrong advice but props to him anyways. He's not making it to the 12th.
