Hopkins is a bigger Draw,just look at the stadium in his last fight?You`ll see that it was packed.I've read that in Kovalev last fight,the ticket sales were poor.And Hopkins is not a ordinary 49 year old:the Guy is still fighting at a top level,he is ranked above Kovalev,Has a far and away better resume then Kovalev,has a major title unlike Kovalev,and many people would pick Hopkins to beat Kovalev.Kovalev is the real ducker for not taking on Hopkins when he was mandatory for Hopkins belt,he chose Cleverly instead and Cleverly is a mediocre at best fighter.

If Duva's quotes are accurate, litigation will be pointless.How can she prove breech of contract, because it sounds like the "Agreed" contract is 1) based on a future fight that was not guaranteed anyway and 2) required HBO to ultimately agree to the terms. Both of which makes no sense, unless you are HBO and Duva. Stevenson should be lucky Haymon stepped in, Yvon was about to get Stevenson screwed out of allot of money. Geesh. As far as Duva is concerned, simply saying you have an agreement that says we agree to make another agreement sometime in the future sounds shady as hell.

I give her props for trying to smear Al Haymon. But she should just accept the fact that he outsmarted her, and HBO for that matter for trying to marginalize Stevensons earning potential. Al Haymon gave HBO the first chance to negotiate and accept the terms for a Stevenson contract. Not only did they decline, the didn't even attempt to negotiate it. HBO probably spoke with Duva and heard her explain how she was low balling and suckering Yvon and Stevenson into accepting it. Her and HBO execs probably laughed all night about how rich they would get by getting two fights out of Stevenson for the price of one. At least until they got news Showtime accepted Haymons deal.

You say that crap when it's been publicly stated throughout the media that HBO offered lower for the fight than they did for Ward to fight fkn Rodriguez so stop it with the "anyone who says otherwise don't know ****" talks like you are some fkn boxing guru. Do you know the man? How do you know he doesn't plan on knocking Kovalevs block off once the fight builds up to a potential multi million dollar one instead of the high hundred thou fight it currently is? If he can get paid MORE to fight Hopkins than let him take his Hopkins fight and get that Payday first. He deserves it. Him and Kovalev can fight after. Duva contradicted herself,first she said that Stevenson never wanted the fight with Kovalev,now she said Stevenson agreed to fight Fonfara next then Kovalev in the fall but Al Haymon came in and ruined things.Also the fight still has the possibility of happening because Stevenson did not sign a multi-fight deal with Showtime yet.I hope Stevenson chooses Hopkins after Fonfara,the hell with that over hyped johnny come lately Kovalev,he could wait in back of the line.Hopkins is a proven legend,while Kolalev hasn't done nothing special in the light heavyweight division and chose to fight Cleverly over Hopkins even though he was mandatory for Hopkins titles.Another reason i want Stevenson to pick Hopkins is too piss off you people that over hyped Kovalev and give him a pass for not taking on Hopkins,and give GGG a pass for cherry picking Chavez junior instead of him choosing Ward.

Because this is boxing and only in out ****** ass sport the match ups we want we usually don't get. Mayweather Pacquiao Canelo Lara Mikey Gamboa Sergio GGG (I'm ok though with Cotto) now Adonis Kovalev. And those fights could realistically happen. It's not like there a network or promoter beef. And they're still not happening. Adonis made the Floyd power move though now so he can hide behind Showtime. Smh We are an extremly frustrated bunch because of all the sucker **** that happenes only in boxing.
