I really don't think there's a bad or wrong answer to this poll. Both sides are justifiable, and that's what makes great fights. I'm really looking forward to this matchup.

A toss up fight, but I'm going with Chavez. Barrera has a lot more of skills but Chavez' durability will be a major factor. This is going to be by decission.

If Barrera is smart he'll use his boxing skills and box his way into a UD, however if he decides at some point in the fight to brawl with Chavez he could run right into disaster.

Thanks. Anyone starting to notice a trend here? With the exception of Pacquiao-Morales, and possibly Mosley-Vargas or De la Hoya-Mayorga, the best fights are being shown on HBO and Showtime, not PPV. Lacy-Calzaghe on Showtime, Barrera-Chavez on HBO, Bell-Mormeck on Showtime, Corrales-Castillo III on Showtime, Freitas-Raheem on one of the two, and a slew of other good fights are being broadcast on these two networks. This is the reason I keep the movie channels. They're broadcasting Toney-Rahman, as well. Margarito-Gomez, Johnson-Hall, and a bunch of other fights I'd like to see, but won't pay for, should follow suit. Mayweather-Judah falls into the bull**** category, also. Sorry to ramble- off the subject a little...

Well according to Barrera..."he wants to give back to his fans". That's why he opted for a non-PPV. Looking back at his last 2 fights....he made his fans pay fighting Fana and Peden. It's about time.

i havent seen chavez vs morales but on boxrec, the scores were 118-108 117-109 115-112, cept for that last score he doesnt seem that morales had any problem what so ever, could anyone upload the fight for me? btw i pick barrera to be to fast and pick jesus apart with counter punchs and work him over with body shots

I'm going out on a limb and say, I see this fight going in Chavez's favor. But, if today's past-30 MAB manages to resurrect the MAB who faced and shamed NAZ with jabs and movement to pile up points, I can be in trouble.
