Insunuating a prime Oscar wouldn't at a bare minimum give Floyd the best fight he's ever had (his fight still stands as one of the closest Floyd has come to losing) is ridiculous.

As I said on page 1, Oscar beats him, probably TKO's him, but we will never know, hypotheticals are what they are, but Oscar did not have many flaws at all, his boxing was something beautiful, he had speed and power, and ducked no one. I would put my money on Oscar prime vs prime very confidently.
Oscars flaws were intangibles.he was a guy who could box beautifully but
in the big fights he found a way to lose instead of win whereas Floyd is a guy who pulls out the W no matter what. He would if course be a tough fight for Floyd but that's why Floyd could win

When fighters "abandon" parts of their game it's because they are getting countered, injured, or out of gas.

You didn't discover an inside track for what would or wouldn't have worked that Delahoya didn't know about. If Oscar could have used an effective jab he would have.

Also, you obviously didn't watch the fight if you believe it was as close as the ridiculous scorecards.

I thought DLH was past his prime by the time he got to 154. At 147 he would've been more competitive with Mayweather(1997-2000). I look at the Whittaker and the Mosley fights----2 fast guys. Had his hads full with both of them. One could make the argument that Whittaker at least drew with him. Mosley beat him narrowly but somewhat convincingly.
Mayweather is a better defensive fighter and counterpuncher than Mosley ever was,.and he is similar to Whittaker but probably has more offensive ability than Sweet Pea.
So with that being said,...I see ODLH in a very competitive fight. I would actually lean towards Mayweather,..but totally respect the idea also that DeLahoya could have won for pure aggressiveness and backing up Mayweather for much of the fight.

IT'S A HARD ONE TO CALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lol at the Floyd fans saying Oscar had no chance to win this fight...Floyd arguably lost in many peoples minds to a much inferior fighter in Castillo!!!
Oscar fought way better competition then Floyd his whole career. He's probably Floyd's best opponent ever and he was washed up in that fight. I thought he lost 7-5 to Floyd but for a guy so passed it, he had lots of good rounds.

Oscar would have Handed Floyd a KO loss had they fought even one year prior to the May 2007 fight. Same with Mosley - had he gotten Floyd in 2005-2006, Floyd would have been Ko'd

You're argument became void @ "much inferior fighter in Castillo". Castillo was a goddamn monster at 135. And pound for pound, he grinds down DLH. You bring up DLH's competition, but exactly WHEN did he fight them? Pea was BADLY faded, Ike was coming off a 16 (or so) month layoff, he straight up ran from Tito, lost to Shane, etc. Notice the trend? LMAO @ DLH being "Floyd's best opponent ever". And which 5 rounds did DLH win again?

It would have never happen. Floyd certainly knows who to fight and who to avoid. I'm not saying floyd can't beat oscar; but, it sure is a 60-40 fight; in the best of 3, Oscar would of win 2 out of 3 fights. How? -the secret lies in oscar's great activity, powered by his awesome accurate jabs and that all-time great left hook he had. It really spells trouble for floyd. All these things could easily be pulled by prime young hungry oscar.

Very very few casual boxing fans knew that oscar in his prime, has a legendary powerful ultra accurate jabs and an incredible left hook that is one of the very best of all time. A quality that will really matter, in a fight between an elite vs. elite.

He must have been wearing fishnets when he did this interview thus affecting the blood flow to his brain.

IDK.. At that age he was fighting his 2nd fight with Chavez and then the Ike Quartey classic. I for one, had Quartey winning so IDK if a 25 year old DLH would've defeated Floyd. Are we talking the Floyd of today, or the one he fought at 154? Either way, it'd be a really good fight because Oscar in 98 was coming to fight.. Just ask Oba Carr and his KSwiss people.

I'd favor Floyd right now, but it'd be a very entertaining fight.
