Out of only white guys? I think it's pretty obvious I like the Kitschko brothers. I don't know about them being the best white guys though, and give me more a specific time frame to work with other than "the past generation"

If you really don't look at the race of fighters at all then that is good. It would be good if more people were as racially conscious. However, on some level, each race definately has a tendency to support fighters of their race.

the very nature of this thread is hypocritical, how many black fans liked warren moon and currently like donovan mcnabb because they are black ? there is nothing wrong with anyone liking an athlete whom they can identify with whether it be based upon race or region or whatever, duplicity is obviously a racist whom covers up his own racism by accusing others of it first, how long will these various boxing message boards tolerate such dividers ?

Most whites like Duddy because they are IRISH. Most whites who follow Mesi's career are italian. Most hardcore Golota fans are not just white but POLISH.

It's the same as puerto ricans worshipping Tito Trinidad or filipinos with Pacman. It's about pride in your nationality, in your ancestors. It's not as simple as a "race issue".

By the way, race is only an outdated theory and is not supported by scientific fact. Genetically speaking, the only "race" is the human race/species. There are manny different ethnicities, but only one true race.

But when someone says "He's white"... or "She's black", you know to a high degree of certainty what the person is describing.

So, since this isn't a scientific construct, why don't we just apply the common usage.

I think Duplicty has no basis for his arguement. The only white fighters ever being hyped up are "white heavyweights". Malignaggi, Salita, Duddy, Yuri Foreman, Valuev, Romanov and other undefeated white prospects barely get a second of TV time. You get an undefeated fighter from PR and HBO is plugging him as the next Trinidad. Hatton had to beat a guy like Tszyu in order to even get a shred of respect in the states. Most were picking Tszyu by KO.

And before you throw race logic into the arguement, I'm not white and the race card plays in many directions.

Such as Morales being schooled by Raheem, and Morales lands a pay per view date while Raheem waits months only to grab a date against Freitas. Or Baldomir schooling Judah, has no set fight, but Judah lands a 7 figure ppv date with Mayweather.

A guy like Malignaggi gets some play in a forum and this guy loses his mind. He has charisma and people like him, of all colors. Never has HBO even whispered his name on TV so what hype does he get?

The way the heavyweight division is mapped out these days, the boxing world is not looking for a "white" hope, they are looking for a "black" hope. The next Tyson, the next Lewis, the next Holyfield. Guys like Klitschko and Valuev will always sell due to their size, same way HBO tried pushing McCline and Goofi Whitaker - because they were big.

Good argument, but I think Duplicity was thinking more down the lines of hyping before a boxer is even known, so Wlad and Mosley dont count really. Like for instance we are hearing about up and coming white stars apparently, but not the black ones...

That is where Amir Khan and David Haye (striaght out of the UK) come in.... those 2 are being hyped big time, and Amir Khan is middle eastern, and David Haye is black. Clearly no base for this argument, just a dumb **** trying to make an assertion.
