Despite the bad blood between the Mexican fighters as their March 8 bout nears, the former WBC super welterweight champion suspects the pain Angulo suffered around his left eye that night was simply unbearable. Otherwise, there would’ve been no reason to halt a fight Angulo had a strong chance to win after knocking down Lara in the fourth and ninth rounds June 8 in Carson, Calif.

Why would he say anything else!? He needs to build Angulo up for sales and his own ego and pride.

if its a legal advantage then there is nothing wrong with that, is like laras reach advantage... please dont tell me that lara cant look good on a legal size ring, you and i know that lara is better than that, so stop the excuses...
like i said even with all those advantages this fight was supposed to be a mismatch , when angulo was mentioned for canelo instead of trout we all called a mismatch and a cherrypick at the time...

It was obvious Angulo didn't want to fight no longer. Thumbless gloves and it was more like the forehead not the eye that was troubling . That is my opinion and Cuba has nothing to do with what I saw .

Look man I can't argue with u in circles . You said if it's a official ring size no fighter has an advantage ,I disagreed . Now u call it a " legal advantage" and write a buncha crap

U claim that they didn't want Lara to lose ... Why the small ring and Heavy mat ? Those seem to me to be two advantages to Angulo , not for Lara .

Now ask yourself if they were trying to be fair how could they do this ?
It's because they weren't trying to be fair because they want Lara to lose .
Since when the f**k do they choose the ring size and mat based on what they want for the UNDERCARD fight? Maidana vs. Lopez was the main event. The fighters in the main event choose all of that s**t. And then you probably want to talk about a rehydration clause for Lara too, huh? And they can't even prove it because it wasn't even in the contract, hahaha.

to me thats not an advantage, but if you call it an advantage then is a legal advantage that should not be used as an excuse like reach, height, etc...
but then even if i give this to you as an advantage , it is not an excuse for such a mismatch at the time...lara was supposed to do easy job of this fight, and no way gb or anybody were thinking lara was supposed to loose or look bad...

what I find it funny is that, non of the undercard fighters complained about the ring size or padded mat but Lara, that is extrange in my opinion.
