His improved jab will help him manage the distance moving boxers are so fond of utilizing. Evreything off of the jab. He threw a pitiful amount of jabs at devon alexander. He will fare better against boxers if he keeps that strong jab in their face. He more than doubled his jab output from devon to broner.. this was not by accident, it was by design.

Trout landed on Canelo just couldnt hurt him. Canelo landed less often but more authoritatively. I wouldnt say Canelo controlled Trout all that well just overpowered him with select shots.

Canelo is more measured than Maidana. He likes to stalk box and pick his shots. His tendency to be this deliberate boxer is what made him fail against a mastermind like Floyd. Maidana has a different mentality and approach than that, which makes the matchup intriguing to me

I think he could drop and hurt him, but I think Chino would also get back up and throw hellacious bombs with his fists, Maidana is like a horse in that he doesn't know how to quit, he goes until he falls over and dies, or it's over.
