That in bold is about the... mmm... let's say... weirdest... .... thing I have read regarding Maidana.

Broner tried to BOX him and he got caught AGAIN in the 8th round.

Please do not use that pathetic excuse to discredit Maidana's capabilities. Broner DID try to box, did TRY the shoulder roll, did TRY to counter... In summary, he tried to use several BOXING TECHNICS and Maidana found a way to not only knock him down twice but win by UD. Who would have thought?

Don't tell me Broner is a brawler or one dimensional, he is a boxer / puncher.

And those same excuses you are using are the same ones that were used before the Broner fight. Much so that LarryX aka Laura Minaj gave infinite odds betting on Broner... he ended up disappearing from the betting section after that.

To not give Maidana a chance in this fight would be downright silly. To discredit Maidana as a fighter is just downright ******. And this will be one of the MOST entertaining fights Mayweather has and will ever be in. Anytime you have someone with power willing to take risks, you got a fight in your hands.

if you don't see the difference between what Floyd does and that cheap imitation crap. IDK what to say. I thought most fans seen it as Broner's toughest fight, NSB is full of idiots.

I like Maidana he's an entertaining fighter who gives his all. But that isn't going to matter on May 3. Mayweather will box his head off.
If you want to bet let me know, might make the fight interesting to me, maybe a bet on how competitive it is. If Maidana wins more than 2 rds you win. What do you say?

In case you didn't know, one can box while walking someone down. Floyd did this against Mosley. Broner tried to do the same, he failed.

        yes, yes he is.

You're on but I hope you pay. I always hold my end of the deal and I hope you do as well like a man of your word.

My 2,935,293,789.67 that Maidana wins MORE THAN 2 rounds (meaning he'd have to win 3 in order for me to win) to your 2,935,293,789.67 that he DOES NOT win more than 2 (meaning that if he wins 2 or less you automatically win).

Yes I do know. My point being he's not good at it at all. Floyd very good. There's that difference I keep mentioning. FLOYD>>>>>>>>broner
I don't know why you keep comparing the two, do you really think Maidana will do the same to Floyd?

FMJ aint trading with Maidana, gonna be another jab, bike ride and pot shotting win. and it sucks too because i thought fmj looked good in the Canelo fight as he didnt run and stood mostly in the pocket.

the hell are you talking about? go and watch the fight again you smartass. broner didn't box, he slugged it out with maidana. he stood his ground and was all heart in that fight. he got no lateral movements, even head movements not much of it. broner just relied on his handspeed and his ineffective shoulder roll. he wasn't countering as well that's why maidana was able to timed him eventhough broner had a big edge in handspeed.

did the "broner is the next mayweather" hype got into you? looks like it did otherwise you would've realized that maidana will face a different animal in floyd and that whatever you saw in the maidana-broner fight is almost of no significance to the challenges maidana will face in this fight.

anyway, i will not go into a more ****** argument with a poster like you. just come back to me after the fight and tell it to my face if i was wrong with my assessment.

                Agreed.

                The facts are the facts.

Floyd Mayweather has boxing skills and experience.

However, he is 37 years old. His legs aren't the same as when he was in his twenties. An example of fresh legs is Erislandy Lara. Lara is in his twenties and his lateral movement is sharper than Mayweather's. No one on NSB can argue this.

In 2012, Devon Alexander -- who was 25 then -- displayed sharp, young, fresh legs in his fight with Maidana. In that same year Mayweather showed the opposite. Many fans and boxing experts felt Mayweather was flatfooted against Miguel Cotto. Mayweather showed signs of slowing down. His feet weren't as quick. He's not a twenty-something-year-old anymore. His body is gracefully declining.

Foot speed is not something you get when you're in your mid-thirties.

The only blueprints to beat Maidana are (1) illegally clinch excessively and (2) high work rate and constant lateral movement.

Maidana has learned from his losses and fixed his flaws.

In the Amir Khan fight, Maidana did not cut off the ring. With the help of his trainer Robert Garcia, Marcos has worked on cutting off the ring. instead of following his opponent around like he did in the Khan fight.

Maidana has made discernible improvement. Don't be ignorant, and downplay him and spew out baseless opinions just because you have a prejudice against the brawling style. Respect what this man has done in his career. You are witnessing a great puncher in his prime. There will never be another Marcos Maidana.

His improved jab will help him manage the distance moving boxers are so fond of utilizing. Evreything off of the jab. He threw a pitiful amount of jabs at devon alexander. He will fare better against boxers if he keeps that strong jab in their face. He more than doubled his jab output from devon to broner.. this was not by accident, it was by design.

Very true. Maidana has a rare ability to learn new things very quickly. He is a gifted student.
