So you didnt like Bradley v Provodnikov?

    Rios v Alvarado?

    Alvarado v Provo?

    Manny v JMM 4?

    Rigo v Donaire?

Here's a tip: Dont align yourself with one camp. Take each fight, fighter and situation on its own and form an opinion. That way, you wont make careless comments.

But I guess this will be a good fight.

Clearly the cold war, Arum, debeouf, haymon, Schaeffer, etc are stubborn, selfish b**** that prevent the best fights from happening...but that doesnt mean running a fight back multiple times is bad. In fact, sometimes its amazing.
The reason they (Mayweather's ******ed groupies) complain about rematches is because it's a useful angle to attack Pacquaio and Arum, especially when there is no other reason to complain.

Floyd fans have basically created paradigms as to what is an acceptable fight if you're Manny Pacquaio.

            - No catchweights
            - No rematches
            - The opponent must be coming off a win

The catchweight thing was particularly funny when Floyd fought Canelo at 152. Pac should absolutely do more catchweights now, as he won't catch the same heat now that Mayweather has done it also.

The opponent coming off a win means fighting a Khan and Guerrero is theoretically more acceptable than fighting Marquez 5. There was actually a post I called out where someone accused Manny of cherry-picking JMM for a fifth fight - "same old Pac, always picking fighters coming off losses". Yup, fighting the guy who knocked you out cold 2 fights ago is a cherrypick now.

Finally, the rematches angle. Obviously, with TR's small pool at 140-147, fights are going to be recycled. I understand it's not ideal - but a great fight is a great fight, no matter how many times it has happened. JMM-Pac 4 was absolutely epic, the most legacy defining of our generation. If it was up to Mayweather's cretinous, faqqot-ass, uneducated, ugly, disgusting fanbase, that fight would never have happened (though they sure did hi-jack the win from the Marquez fans afterwards).

Mayweather's extreme fans are just scumbags, plain and simple. I wish them all the very worst in life.

i agree, this is a compelling fight ... i dont see why people are hating on this bout

i do disagree with all your last sentence tho ... floyd is heard, in his corner, complaining to his uncle about his shoulder after the first or second round

If you think Manny v tim has unfinished business, so be it. Had Manny been announced as the winner IMO there is no way there would be a rematch. Do you think there would be?

As such, we'd most likely be looking at a Manny v Ruslan fight given what has happened.

I get that Manny v tim gives manny a chance to get his title back and is match between 2 of the 10 best p4p fighters in the world. But so would floyd v JMM and ward v froch-2 other fights that we really don't need to see again IMO.
i am tired of TR rematches, but this is one that i agree with

if manny had been announced the winner there absolutely would still be a rematch. a lot has happened since that fight ... pac got starched and tim beat the man that did it as well as ruslan. yet ruslan should get the shot at pac?

Yeah well fighter who actually comes to fight and not put on an exhibition tends to get KTFO sooner or later. I'd rather see a boxer go out on his shield than on his backfoot.

                    Its not just TR rematches.

I don't think there would be but if you disagree cool. This fight wasn't memorable without the judging controversy.

Respectfully, I don't see this as "getting a shot at Pac". It's about seeing a worthy fight I haven't seen instead of a rematch that has IMO a predictable outcome based on the first fight.

If you feel tim v ruslan was essentially an eliminator for a manny fight-ok. That would make sense even if I didn't see it that way.

I think there are better, more interesting fights for Bradley than a Pacquiao rematch. He should jump ship to GBP and fight Garcia or Maidana.
