You have a lot to learn about this sport, guy.

Do you know how many PPVs actually do 1mm buys? Its a VERY small fraction.

500K ppv buys is $30 million dollars (the cable companies get half)...do you know what networks pay for fights? try around 10% of that (on the high end).

Your problem is you are too caught up in who does more ppv money and not looking at who is fighting who. There is more to boxing than obsessing over ppv buys. set yourself free, man.

It really isn't close to as big, part of that has to do with how lackluster the first fight was and while there are a few multi-fight series where a few fights weren't very good, almost never was the first fight not that great then did better at the box office later on.

Also while Bradley is bigger than he was at that point Manny is in much lesser standing, I don't think Tim's gains have offset Manny's losses in Q-rating.

I think the fight looks very similar to the first one and Manny stands a good chance of making it work, Bradley will once again mitigate Manny's success but I just don't think he has what it takes to get the job done. It just doesn't have that much appeal, sure it appeals to someone like me who watches all boxing and will watching meaningful fight even if I know they will not be great fights, but to most people I just don't see how that fight really appeals.

Totally agree ... Everything is a big fake commercial !! As far as the thread goes I believe that the rematch is bigger than the first fight..

Back in the day nobody even knew or cared who sold what. Not that I knew of anyway. There was no articles in ring ****zine about how many buys Holyfield - Bowe got compared to Tyson or how it made whoever got more the better fighter.

Because Bradley is the first legit WW in 4 years that Pac is fighting. He's proven himself at this weight and like many people complained about other fighters being forced up and being bloated or not comfortable or whatever else excuse they have, Bradley is at WW and fighting at WW. This is his weight and adapted to it.

IMO it's a great fight because this isn't a look good fight for Pac which is typically what Bob Arum has been going for outside of the JMM and Bradley fights. Yes, this fight was forced as he didn't have many options but that doesn't change the fact that it's 2 solid WW's fighting each other. Something you haven't been able to say about Pac in quit sometime. Not vs Clottey, not vs Margarito and certainly not vs Mosley. This is the first legit WW fight Pac has had in awhile and I love the this fight. I can see where either man could actually win. However IF Bradley somehow legitimately won, I don't see Bob allowing such a thing to happen. I think Bob invested in this fight to go at lest a 3rd time.

Are you aware that the reason of Tim's injury was the result of Manny juking him the fu ck out. The terms "broke his as s off" breakin ankles" come to mind ala Allen Iverson.

Exactly...does ANYONE ever talk about how much money Ali made?

SRL made 30 million dollars (in 2013 dollars) for his rematch with Duran...does ANYONE remember that?

It is a decent fight, pretty big in terms of the division still that doesn't mean people will buy, people want to be entertained and they will pay if they think there is entertainment they want.

What I was saying had to do with that.
