Also, there is an article that shows that Oscar wanted more speed and that is why he actually came in at 145 pounds at the weigh-in which was his decision. The fact is, Ward shot himself in the foot with his comments.
      DLH also said after the fight that the weight wasnt an issue. Pacs speed was an issue and it felt like he was in there with ten of Manny. He also said before the fight, that his camp went well and had no problem making weight. Said he was in the best shape of his life.

      Morons only believe he was drained because he had an IV before the fight. lol
      Many fighters do this for rehydrating safely and getting more energy legally.

        Trainer's a separate discussion to be honest, Cotto's trainer was going to be his trainer regardless of weight. Does the 2 pounds make Cotto beat Pacquiao? imo no, does it make Alvarez beat Floyd, imo no. De La Hoya wasn't beating Pac at 147 or even 150 imo, I don't think Chambers was ever beating Mchunu either.

          Bet you are feeling pretty ****** by now since you must have realized that he inserted his foot into his mouth by knocking Oscar/Pac which was the same scenario as him/Dawson but worse since Pac was coming up in weight. Been a fan of Ward's for some time now, I have his autograph so I know I am a fan but this wasn't cool of him.

            Margarito = Beat Roberto Garcia
            Mosley = Split draw against Sergio Mora

            I can't blame you on Margarito and Mosley but Cotto and Hatton were solid opponents both coming off solid wins. Hatton was actually the lineal champ at 140.
            Yeah dude but lets face the facts here. When Cotto fought Clottey what did Roach and Manny say on HBO? They said the reason why they are fighting Clottey in the first place was because they felt that Cotto lost to him. Which a lot of people believe he lost as well but it was a really close fight so imo it could have went either way. So they themselves are admitting to a watered down win with Cotto. Hatton on the other hand was coming off a win vs Paulie Malignaggi at 140 pounds. Hatton isn't that bad of a win but still...

              I consistently amazed by the number of boxing fans who insist that not fighting his primary if not only rival wont be a black mark on Floyd's legacy. Are they similarly forgiving of the legacy's of past great fighters who haven't fought the next best fighter in their era and weight class? I doubt it.

                I don't like to see weight-drained excuses. In most of the cases where it's used as an excuse the other guy was actually just better boxer to begin with (and that includes Floyd-Canelo).
                Not only do I believe it, team Pacman also believes it.

                  That Floyd could have fought? The poster I quoted said Floyd never stepped in the ring with the 'greats' of Manny's era. I asked what "greats" are these that Floyd could have actually fought. Margarito, not great, not even HOF worthy. Clottey, was good at one point that's about it. Rios, an okay fighter at his best. Bradley, a good versatile fighter, probably future HOF, don't know about great yet.

                  Then there's MAB and Morales, who never crossed paths with Mayweather in their prime.

                  That's it, if there's any "greats" of Manny's era I missed out 'purposely', please enlighten me.

                    Yes, he wanted more than what Floyd got for DLH.

                      Ward is in his 1st weight class. Dawson dropped a full division, never having done anything at SMW. Ward 4-1 favorite
                      Pac went up 2 divisions, to his 7th, DLH down 3lbs. One fight back, and Pac up 3 divisions, DLH down 1 division. DLH in his 5th division, did best work at welter. DLH favored, widely by writers
