    WeLL.........

Greetings and welcome to Boxingscene. This poll is close because you have two A Level fighters. In my opinion, it is still a 50/50 fight. Real knowledgeable fans know this. Floyd holds a significant size advantage and reach advantage but Manny is exactly your "normal" little fighter. Look at the way he's built from the calves up. His legs and fast feet are a problem for Floyd alone. Floyd is a great defensive fighter who relies on reflexes and lateral movement. He processes things in the ring very well. Manny, is a great offensive fighter. Excellent hand-speed, foot-speed, stamina, good power per punch, and he is smarter than Floyd thinks. One of Floyd's weaknesses is that he throws about 40-45 punches a round. Now, this may work against slow, plodding fighters, fighters who tire quickly, fighters who throw about the same amount of punches as he does, but against a fighter like Manny, it will not work. Speed bothers Floyd, but not Manny. Manny is used to fighting at a fast pace against fast fighters. Floyd is used to throwing when he wants, relaxing when he wants. Manny can outpoint Floyd. He is faster and stronger, believe it or not. Manny will box at times, out-speeding Floyd, and he will stand his ground a bit too. His feet and legs is why he would most likely win. He would outpoint Floyd.

Can someone honestly explain to me how they think floyd would beat pacquiao? Styles make fights and as good as floyd is, manny is a nightmare for him. There's a reason why he hasn't took this fight yet.

i think floyd wins a decision, close one

ok I respect your opinions. But I think most pacquiao fans make the mistake of just labeling Floyd as "a defensive fighter" and Pacquiao an "offensive fighter" and think that in a fight Floyd would just be dodging Pacquiao's 100's of punches, without throwing any himself waiting to get clipped. This is very ******.

You might not like Floyd's offensive style but you have to respect that there is a reason why he limits his opponents' punch stats more than anyone in history. It hurts when they throw. You can cut it or slice any way but the bottom line is you have to understand that Pacquiao will get hurt in that fight as well and wont be his normal self. Think the Pacquiao in the last 2 Marquez fights. Thats the pacquiao you'll see in Mayweather fight, only, Mayweather wouldn't be hit anywhere near as much as Marquez (I also think Mayweather's chin is better than Marquez's). You definitely wont see the 'godly' Pacquiao in the Hatton fight or Cotto fight.

C'mon guys it's easy to see that Floyd would box Pacquiao's socks off. Honestly you can root for Pacquiao but when it comes down to it, most people wouldn't bet on him. It's too risky just 'hoping' he can get lucky with a punch. I think we all know the probable outcome is a Mayweather UD.
Eagerly waiting for a reply to this.

            Hmmmm.

If it was that easy for Floyd to defeat Manny; don't you think he would have fought him already? Just a guess. He seems to fight everyone else he wants to fight. It's the biggest money fight in boxing. It's one fighter who doesn't want it and that's Floyd Mayweather. Manny will fight ANYONE as proven time and time again. Floyd KNOWS he could lose a decision at worse against Manny. I know it as well. Manny will not be easy for Floyd to hit either. You guys over estimate him. And if anyone gets "hurt" in that fight, it's most likely going to be Floyd. Manny is stronger and faster of hand and foot. What makes you think that Manny's chin isn't granite anymore? Because a roided fighter cracked it? Isn't that what roids are taken for? Rios hit Manny with thunderous shots to the body and a few to the chin and what happened??? Exactly. Nothing. Manny is tough as nails. Learn the sport a little more before thinking that any fight is automatic. Floyd has never faced a fighter like Manny. He's talented just like Floyd is.

You've written many biased comments that I won't even address. And please don't attack me and tell me to "learn the sport" because I believe my knowledge of the sport is adequate. Please tell me you have a greater level of understanding in boxing politics than what was suggested by your post. You don't get to Floyd's level fearing other fighters, even Pacquiao.

Now this goes both ways. I don't believe Pacquiao fears anyone either. In fact, no elite boxer fears another. If you have boxed you would know why this is. The reason why this fight hasn't happened is because both sides didn't want to give in. Now I don't want to go into too much detail on the negotiations because we'll be here all day. I'll just start off with one question for you to argue against.

If Floyd was truly scared-as you say he is- then why did he initially sign a contract for a 50/50 split and a request for blood testing? Think about it, Floyd had NO idea Pacquiao would have a problem with blood testing until AFTER he protested to it. So if Pacquiao did hypothetically sign it what would Floyd do then? He would train and fight. This is the single most overlooked fact in the whole Floyd vs Pac argument.

                Never said.....

I never said that Floyd was scared; not once. I do know that when two fighters want to fight each other, they do whatever is necessary to get it done. At least, that's how it used to be. Floyd's thug approach to negotiating doesn't work at this level. He's immature. Manny is more mature than he is. Cotto is more mature than he is. Oscar was more mature than Floyd is. Floyd is a narcissistic person and needs to grow up or the dislike will continue to grow stronger. How anyone can support this guy is beyond me. He's a joke when it comes to challenging himself in the ring and that's the bottom line; us arguing about who's fault it is that the fight didn't happen, isn't going to change that. And guess what else? He's running out of opponents and time to prove that he's the greatest to ever lace up gloves.

Floyd's personality outside of the ring is irrelevant. This isn't a popularity contest, it's boxing. I don't care how Floyd acts in his private life I only care about his skills in the ring which are, at this time, unmatched. No one in this era comes close. To each his own I guess...

Yea i hate how Mayweather die-hards say ooo Pac's not worthy or what chance in hell does he have that Marquez , Mosley etc.

But they tend to forget, Pac HAS BEEN on the biggest stages of em all, and WON most of em. He wont fold under the pressure, hell he has had the whole country of the philippines to carry his whole career. Guys like Canelo, Guerrero, Mosley (abiet that 2 punches he landed) folded. Ortiz did too in the end but that least he came to rough Mayweather up a little bit.

Like the guy said , if it was such an easy fight for Mayweather he would have fought him right away with no hesitations in 2010 and no accusations that he was on PEDs. The so-called "TMT" just could not believe that an Asian man could accomplish amazing things
