Yeah. If it's a false they're gonna need a stronger statement to quell this. It's like the teacher trying to calm down a rowdy kindegarten class that isn't listening.

TMZ has good sources and usually does a decent amount of investigating before publishing stories. Sometimes though they jump the gun though, so ill hold my breath until we get a tweet from Mayweather

I'm not a big twitter guy, so has boxing ever been trending in the past?

And pac made huge money, 24 million for his fight purse earnings in that fight alone, while Floyd's last fight with Maidana, floyd got the 32 million gaurantee. which showtime lost 12million dollars from it.

32m (guarantee) -12m (showtime loss) = 20 Million is floyd's real worth with showtime breaking even.

So if showtime showtime should at least earn, floyd is less than 20 million..

Pac is the daddy. The clear A side. But the guy is humble, so his main focus is to get Floyd in the ring to dish out the pain.
Showtime break even if he averages 1 million PPVs for his 6 fight contract. That means he has to sell 6 million units. I highly doubt Showtime are losing any money from Floyd's end because he's only four fights in.

I'm a fan of both Floyd and Manny but even if you give Floyd the worst possible projections from any source you want Floyd is the A-side, even if it's the smallest of margins.

Just saw on my Facebook that TMZ is reporting the fight is done. That true?

Floyd is the a-side that's for sure. However, Showtime has ceilings on how much they can make per fight. So selling 2 millions buys one fight and 0 the next is not the same as selling a million per fight over two fights. They also need more than one million buys, the number is closer to 1.2 million buys per fight.

                    I doubt that.

Floyd made 40 million to fight victor ortiz. That fight sold 1.25 million buys, and SHO has been spending a lot more on advertising (part of the deal) than HBO did. So i would say, yes close to 1.2 million buys sounds like an accurate number. A number that many articles have referred to since the deals inception.

Edit: Just some more in depth. Floyd made 25 million against marquez, and that fight sold 1.1 million buys.
