Did The De La Hoya fight prove what a hypejob Mayweather is?

    At the time, hell no... Cause Oscar was still Oscar... Losing, or having a close fight with Oscar didn't mean that much at the time

    In hindsight, sorta, but not really... It was at a weight Floyd never fought at before, and it may have been a "close" fight... But Oscar didn't really do anything in the fight, and once Floyd figured him out, it was a wrap

        If people say it, they say it for good reason. You don't see them say it about Froch, Mares, Kovalev, Bika, Golovkin, Pacquiao or any of the other willing fighters.

          Cotto said he wasn't ready for Mayweather when everyone wanted it.
          If I recall the Margarito fight was the one that made Mayweather decide to leave TR, since Bob said no way an oscar fight would happen.
          Pac...that's a different story.
