The word over "hyped" just like the word "great" has lost its meaning on this site!
Over "hyped" would be if the promotion of Floyd was detailing what a tremendous punchers he is!!!!
Floyd has the best reaction skills curtrently, he has a game plan and is religious to it! He has a formular to win and theres clear avenews to bust it yet no one can (because of bad timing and techniques).

In the Oscar bout Oscar couldn't close in the late rounds or he would have won a good fight in my opinuion but he didn't do it. Credit to Floyd for not wavering and sticking to his plan.

Now the word "greats" meaning on here is the description for "very good"! HA!
If a good fighter has two great outings in 6 fights he becomes a "great fighter" here! Now that Wlad has defeated his opponents for such a long period of time he must be "great"! HA!!!

As for GGG, he can punch, I think thats been proven by interviewing his spar partners, opponents both amatuer & pro and anyone who could see his opponents eyes when he sinks a hook in HA!!!
I beleive he has better than average boxing skills because you can't surmount the amatuer record he has over that course of time at that level without having succured good skills both offensively and defensively.
The key for GGG just like with Floyd or Wlad or ANY other fighter is what happens when they get punched...........and it hurts?? What happens when they get rocked? ...can they recoup in time to get by? Can they clinch to be able to stop the attack and clear their heads? After clearing their heads can they adjust to rectify their situations?

These are the questions that have been asked since day one in boxing!

Court is out on the above, I think Floyd might be best suited to over come adversity depending on how bad he gests hurt. I think Wlad is much more vunerable because he's a heavyweight and most heavyweights can hurt one another despite skill level. GGG is a big question because middleweight usually finish well, I've yet to see him hook up a guy just to walk him off and feel his body strength. Stuff like that just isn't taught anymore but thats probably the first thing I'd teach him! HA!!
So same ol' questions, no answers!!!

I agree but the bias towards Manny is hilarious. Mayweather beat oscar and all of a sudden he is a hype job. Manny beats DLH and all of a sudden he's a beast. What the?!

Dude Manny gets credit for beating DLH but nobody is making him out to be a beast solely due to that fight.

Contorting the truth is not going to change the fact that you are unsure about your ***uality.

lol...imo they both beat faded versions of oscar in a different fashion....for floyd fans, no need to get all bent, because floyd is what he is, a master boxer who can make you miss, make you pay, and make a ton of dough selling it to the general public...so yeah, he's always going to get backlash...once his career comes to a close, his body of work should be judged minus any hype he's generated during his career...

Weight, age/ring age , past prime, quitters, scale issues, drained , no chance-one dimensional Fighters are all over his resume.

The guy has skills, and is fast and makes a lit of money and is a great buisness man, but dont mistake that its harder to do that vs other great fighters in their
            Prime.

He has zero prime hall of famers on his resume.
            No A fighters in prime.
Is what it is, cant hate his hustle.

Cotto was beaten by Margarito who cheated with plaster in his wraps. Man, be real for a minute. That Margarito fight ruined him. It doesn't sound like you box but, styles makes fights. Cotto gave him a tough matchup style wise. De La Hoya wasn't way past his prime as you've indicated. If you watch that fight again, you'll notice that DLH was attacking and missing an awful lot. Jim Lampley was going berserk but, he was missing. That fight won't as close as people think. People are constantly claiming Floyd ducks fights but, who else could he have fought? I won't get into the Pac debate because it's a fact that Freddie Roach, Bob Arum and Pac did not want that fight. Margarito? He was a cheater. What fighter did he not fight particularly in the welterweight class?

Adolf Hitler as a profile name?.

The rise of Neo ****s in many areas of the former Soviet Union is culminating here on Boxing Scene as the star of GGG rises.

You don't know that because they never fought. Floyd fought at 154 for the first time against oscar and looked good doing it. Pac fought him at 147 and while he was drained who cares was oscars choice, and looked good doing it. You really can't go prime for prime the best chance would've been if mosley didn't duck prime Floyd and compared based off that.

It's absurd to say prime this vs prime that when neither we near each other in weight at their "primes" if you think 147 pac or floyd is "prime" you're delusional.

i think the question is when fmj fights these guys...beating guys in their prime, always holds more weight than, past prime, slightly past prime, or after they've been in a couple of wars...especially when you want to proclaim yourself the best ever, or among the elite of past eras...
