Comments Thread For: Arum Has Several Options in Store After Pacquiao-Rios

Top Rank CEO Bob Arum is looking at several possible options for 2014, which he plans to explore after Manny Pacquiao (54-5-2, 38KOs) vs. Brandon Rios (31-1-1, 23KOs) is finished on November 23rd in Macau, China. This match is the final bout of Arum's three fight welterweight series of 2013, which began when WBO champion Timothy Bradley won a twelve round split decision over Juan Manuel Marquez on October 12th, and then a week later Ruslan Provodnikov stopped Mike Alvarado in ten rounds to capture the WBO title at 140-pounds.

Bradley ain't leaving TR...too much competition at GBP from 140 - 147 and i'm pretty sure they aren't going to give him a signing bonus to the extent he'd get from Arum. In two years TB will be the biggest name at TR would he be the biggest name at GBP in that time frame..nope. In two years Pacquaio is guaranteed to be retired and Jmm is one foot out of the door and Ruslan will be Ruslan.

Please Bob, make it simple. Ruslan fights winner of Manny/rios. Tim gets his "easy" defense. Tim fights manny after he beats ruslan and on same card ruslan and rios fight.

Yeah but Bradley isn't as popular as Pac or JMM and never will be. Prov's non english speaking self might have more potential to be more popular than TB.

Bradley would be the biggest name for him in that class but he'd also be the only one... bradley beats everyone with Pac as an exception (and thats iffy). Nobody will want to see him vs Alvarado or Rios. :/...

Bradley has Floyd he could fight With GBP. Thats literally worth everything he could do in TR combined. Then hed even have Danny Garcia or how about Broner!

Rios and Provodnikov plays into Pac's strengths. Easy wins for Pac.

Manny/Bradley next. Why the hell should Manny go through a war with Ruslan, then fight Bradley?

Bradley didn't even win in the first place.

Does Arum know that pac and provodnikov are under the same trainer? Like what Roy jones jr. said I would not like to see them fight. There are more guys to fight. It's such a ****ing shame that GBP and TR can't work together.
