To me it seemed like his body was too lazy to try to slip punches against Paulie. He just did the shoulder roll the entire fight trying to walk him down, and he was too lazy to throw his impulsive combinations. Im not fooled by that fight. Once he settles in his body, everyone will be back to saying how he is Floyd 2.0 And I barely even like Broner.
Ponce, Rees, Escobedo, damn near everyone I've seen him fight except DeMarco has put plenty of leather on him. At the lower weights he was always getting hit but he wore them down with size and power.

He's caught up in the Paulie fight. I keep telling these people he jumped up two weight classes, and his defense was terrible. His body was lazy, he didnt slip, catch, throw any combinations. He just walked him down trying to shoulder roll. People forgot about that demarco fight where we were all blown out of the water. Broner can f.king fight

You're the one saying Broner's fought the best, when he hasn't. Unlike you, I am not claiming the same about Crawford.

He wore them down as in he stopped them? What truly happened is he got touched in the first few rounds, and made adjustments. He stopped Reese. Reese was tagging him, and then Broner started timing him coming in. Escebedo didnt do a damn thing. Ponce did the same thing. He was overwhelming Broner with combinations in that second round when he got confident, and Broner kept the fight at the distance and dominated until the 8th or the 8th round. That fight wasnt close. Ponce is just awkward and it blinded people into thinking it was close. He won 2 rounds.

They were the best at each weight class. Who could he have fought? Paulie was a bum but thats about it.

Ponce won 2 rounds. His style is awkward and it blinded people into thinking he was landing the whole fight. He overwhelmed Broner with combinations in that second or 3rd round, so Broner got on the backfoot and started timing him coming in. And Broner lost the 8th or the 9th round. He dominated.

No they were not. Only DeMarco. None of those other fighters were the best in their weight class or had any argument for being so.

He would get touched and touch them, eventually they couldn't handle Broner's power and would crumble. They never had problems actually punching Broner. Escobedo was competitive until hurt and hitting the jab with accuracy. Rees was very competitive until hurt. I can't remember the name of the fighter who was nailing Broner with right hands against the ropes all 3 rounds until he got hurt. Ponce arguably won. It was a common theme, Broner's size and power won him fights at lower weights as much as his skills.

Broner's defense has never looked that good, again except for DeMarco.

Most were the weakest from each weight tbh,Vasquez and Abril are better then DaMarco and would have presented a much tougher challenge tbh..With them being smart fighters and all..DeMarco was losing to Linares before pulling out the last ditch effort..DeMarco and most of his comp has never been the best imo..

I give Broner props for Pounce and DeMarco, and that's really it..I could have named over three fights I'd rather have seen then the Paulie fight as well..
