i wasnt judging the rounds but i had it remember having it pretty clear for danny

if u have the first 6 4 to 2 for mattysse yeah you'd see the reasoning for a rematch but me myself i don't as imo danny won it clearly

Gave Lucas rounds 1, 2, and either 5 or 6
5 and 6 were clear rds for Lucas.

The low blows were numerous and blatant. I mean, they weren't even just below the belt. They were flush shots on the nuts. I was amazed Weeks even bothered to take a point, he seemed so content to allow the fouls.
THeir was a low blow in round 2, 2 low blows in round 3 at around 2:40 and again around :20 secs left, 2 more in round 4 around 2:00 and 1:20 marks, again round 5 at :35 sec left. So 6 low blows by the end of the 6th.

Which is why I don't get why it's considered so "ridiculous" to suggest a rematch taking place. If anything, Matthysse proved that he deserves another crack at a top tier fighter (if not Garcia himself) for competing fairly evenly with the champion of the world for nearly 7 rounds while half blind.

I can understand the sentiment that maybe Matthysse needs to prove himself again before getting another title shot, and I'm cool with that, but to suggest that he's somehow not on Garcia's level is absurd to me. It was as closely contested as championship fights usually get when an injury rears it's ugly head.

It'll be a tough road for Matthysse from here, though. With no title guys have even less incentive to get in the ring with him, and Garcia probably wants to move up to 147 in the not so distant future.

Best fight of the PPV, by far.
I have to agree. It's completely up to Garcia if he wants to immediately grant the rematch. In all fairness, Matthysse should wait a bit now. It would just suck for the fans.

I think Danny's reaction to the fight speaks volumes. You could see how pleased he was with his hard-earned victory, and the respect he had for Matthysse after the bout. Garcia knew how tough it all was, much tougher than his fans seem to realize.

I get being pissed at Matthysse's bandwagon fans and wanting to celebrate that, but deliberately lying about the closeness of the fight is a real f*g move.

You'd think this was Mayweather/Gatti by the way some of Garcia's fans are going on about it.

That was some classy stuff from Garcia, for sure. It put a smile on my face to see that kind of sportsmanship still taking place at the highest level. Kudos to Garcia for that.

most of the low blows were when garcia was throwing in combo aka matthysse wasn't touching him. garcia fans are just lying with that sh-it. in the 12th garcia even boldly lies and says he was holding my head down when he wasn't even being touched which makes you think it was a strategy move if he already had a pre-made excuse like that.

I had Lucas up 5-1. Saw him win 10 and 12 too. People gave Garcia rounds just for staying on his feet.
