Floyd didn't utilize the jab as soon as Sr. got back with him, if you remember he used to jab to the pit of the stomach but he never applied it much to the head, it was when Sr. got back with him during the Marquez fight that he started to use it again. I'm not talking about his tools either, I'm talking about his approach. He fought Judah, Guerrero and Ortiz differently. He pressed Mosley when most thought he would box, he beat Hatton at his own game, his approach changes.

Some people will never see it, that is what makes him so tough to beat because he can usually beat a guy at their own game but he also can force a guy to their weakness. It is why all fighters rave about him because what he does is unlike anyone else.

How he uses his punches is different also, how he throws a jab or a straight or a hook he changes them up they are all fast and generally start from the same place but he constantly changes their route.

It makes me sad that some boxing fans can not see it now because they will never see a guy like this again. They might see someone as great but we will never see this again.

Floyd is not a top 3 of all times, let's be serious here. I like Floyd as much as the next guy, and he's definitely one of the most skillful guys I've seen - but it takes something extra to be great.

He may be TBE or the best ever as he calls it - but he's not the greatest. or in top 3.

I think you will find more people agreeing with me than not. At least the guys that are serious and have been around the sport for long enough to make that judgement.

I probably will never consider him the greatest for reasons he has no control over which is because his ERA did not produce many great fighters and he really did not allow any great fighters to ship because he was/is so good

But I will say that he is the most complete fighter I ever seen and and might be the most gifted BOXER ever.

Lets be serious , its an opinion that's all , Bhops is a significant HW opinion nothing more , this debate of best ever is all BS if you ask me , Floyd is one of the best ever and there are many more in the grade , nobody is clearly the best ever .

It's part of it, yes. It doesn't really benefit him to talk up Hagler, Leonard or Hearns. Mayweather is active and is part of his promotional stable.

This is the same Hopkins that I'm sure picked Ricky Hatton to beat Floyd a few years ago. There's always plenty of this kinda hyperbole immediately after a fight.
