Did you actually read these or did you just go by the title.
    A) Team Canelo said that Floyd asked for 147 and Floyd Sr confirmed. THAT IS WHY ALL HELL BROKE LOOSE HERE THREE MONTHS AGO!!!!! I did NOT argue when Canelo said what, I said that Canelo said that he could not comfortably make 152 right before and during negotiations, that is all I said and that is 100% true.

Floyd v JMM would be one, Dawson v ward would be another.

now you show something where JMM made the CW request. You can't use some kind of self fullfilling logic to prove that.

The article was posted here on NSB regarding what floyd's dad said. Team Canelo's Manager floated the 147 story.

You are right, he also said he could make 152.

Team Canelo did not float any story, they were at the negotiations and Schafer had the nerve to say that neither Canelo or his manager were present during negotiations which is BULLSHT! No way in hell is a fight negotiated without either a fighter or his manager! No one negotiates with empty chairs sitting across a room and talks to the walls and only one sides team members. Thats not negotiating! Thats talking amongst themselves without key operatives present.

I still cannot believe Schafer actually insulted the intelligence of the entire Boxing World and Public by saying that neither Canelo or his manager were present during negotiations!!! Then who the *** was Schafer negotiating with???? Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck???!!!! If I want to buy a house, how do I do that without talking to either A) the Owners, B) the Real Estate Agent, or C) the Bank?????????????? So Schafer tries to discredit the fact that Mayweather negotiated for a lower weight by saying that neither Canelo and his Manager were present during "NEGOTIATIONS"??!!! How the *** does that work??????

If thats true for Cotto than its true for Canelo

What I don't get is how are you supposed to be one of the best and you ask a 22 year old for a catchweight when you have a title at 154? That boggles my mind
Canelo weighed 153 against Trout on the weigh in! And rehydrated on fight night to 172. So most like he will have a 20 pound advantage on fight night.

Let Floyd have a 20 pound weight advantage on fight night and the boxing world would go crazy. If you don't like it don't watch. Watch pacquio get put to sleep by C fighters moving up in weight coming off of a loss like Rios.

Schafer ended all speculation about his ability to lie to cover up Mayweather asking for 147 by saying NO ONE from Canelo's side was present during negotiations which is IMPOSSIBLE!! And this backs up the truth:

Canelo’s Trainer: Mayweather wants the fight to take place at the welterweight limit of 147-pounds

Posted on May 11, 2013 by admin

By Miguel Rivera; According to Jose “Chepo” Reynoso, trainer of WBC/WBA 154-pound champion Saul “Canelo” Alvarez (44-0-1, 30KOs), there is a weight issue that has to be worked out in order to fight WBC welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. (44-0, 26KOs) on September 14 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Chepo claims that Mayweather wants the fight to take place at the welterweight limit of 147-pounds. Canelo wants to fight at the junior middleweight limit. Chepo says there is “0″ chance of the bout take place at 147.

“Floyd wants every advantage on his side. Among one of the things that is often being stressed is that he wants Canelo at a lower weight. Why would I make my boy sacrifice so much? We proposed an intermediate weight for things to be level for both [fighters], but he refused. Yes we want to fight, but that does not mean [Mayweather] will get everything [he wants],” Chepo said to Erika Montoya.

The weight was an obvious concern when this fight was first discussed. Mayweather walks around close to the welterweight limit, while Canelo weighs over 170-pounds on the night of his fights. Mayweather hold the WBA’s “super title” at 154, but he defeated Miguel Cotto, a small junior welterweight, to capture that title.
