But instead of waiting for 8 months for Floyd in May, why not fit in a fight against the Lopez/Maidana winner or Alexander/Khan winner in January? Stay active, because real talk, I don't think the Garcia fight is going to last long. He's only had 4 rounds of real fight action this year. He'd still be fresh and would also shut people up saying "He's not a real WW."

I know there will always be haters, especially for Floyd, but if he fights Canelo in September and then Matthysse next May, provided he wins the fights until then, that is damn impressive for a 36 year old.

Not at all man, Danny is very good fighter, but the way he fights is just perfect for Lucas. Very wide with his hooks, which Matthysse likes to counter with straight rights right down the middle, to the head and body. I have a lot of respect for Garcia, he's really taken off, but he will not beat Lucas Matthysse. That's not hate, that's just the way I feel about this fight. How do you see it going bro?

See, I saw this as a pick 'em fight because I thought Peterson could smother Matthysse's punches, and work him close, not once did I mention Peterson's boxing ability because we saw him get killed against Bradley, Ortiz and Khan when he opt to box. Where was Petersons defense? He looked like a lost soul with no thrive to win the fight.

Peterson actually caught one of the KD punches on his glove and it STILL put him down. His defense wasn't terrible, Matthysse only landed at 30% according to CompuBox (I know it's not perfect). He just hurt him when he did land and did some good body work in there too.

i'm a huge matthysse fan, he's my favorite fighter right now but he doesn't have the skills to hang with Floyd mayweather, not to mention Floyd is able to actually use his reach unlike Peterson

that fight would probably look similar to mayweather/cotto (I know the popular comparison is mayweather/hatton but matthysse doesn't really fight on the inside like ricky hatton, he likes to hook and throw straight shots at mid-range)

Danny's defense isnt really top notch and yea those looping hooks could lead to big counters. I would favor Lucas slightly but I wana see how he will react to Dannys power shots. I think Lucas will be a little hesitant to go toe to toe and box smartly. The fight will come down to who can land the bigger shots first. Lets not forget, Danny's chin is light years better than petersons. If Danny does pulls off a win it will be via KO obviously. His power makes him a live dog.

Floyd's fist is definitely bigger and stronger than Matthysse's. I know 100% Floyd got the stronger fist.
I felt it.
I never felt Matthysse's fist, but I shook his hand and the guy's grip is not as strong as Floyd's. When Floyd grips me.. he got surreal strength for someone that's 5'7 and 147 pounds. Trust me .. Floyd is a strong black buck and he WILL school Lucas any time any where any how.

Dude mayweather is good but he's not the god people make him out to be. This dude Matthysse is the biggest pound for pound puncher since Mike Tyson, he will steamroll through Mayweathers punches. Mayweather will do all he can to duck this fight.
