Not really. Why so sensitive? Its actually the truth, Pac vs. May was the biggest fight talked about by everyone, pac losing and canelo not on the card hurt his buys.

Why else do you think he kept using Pacquiaos name to lead people on? Floyd knew that people will buy his fight as long as the hope that he would fight Pacquiao was next.

You know it, I know it, the world knows it.....time to announce 1.8 million buys and never show the figures....I mean, that's what Arum would do.

Lets get the final numbers in before we determine whats what.

Do you actually believe what you just posted? People buy floyd's previous fights because his NEXT fight after would be against manny.

Obviously I'll take it with a grain of salt. Never understood why it took so long to get the PPV numbers, do they count them by hand?
thats exactly what i was thinking ha
they must wait to see if the bill is paid before being able to count it as a buy ha

That was my point though. Dan, Arum and Iole were saying it did over a million, but everyone wanted Showtime to confirm. So here we have Showtime basically squashing Iole and Dan's numbers but everyone's choosing to ignore it.

Usually around two weeks for reliable figures.

A lot of the time they don't even finish tallying them for a year. E.G Oscar vs May was reported early at 2.2 million but turned out to be 2.5 million much later. Wrestlemania was reported early as 1.1m turned out to be 1.3m much later.

230 Million guaranteed, 6 fights: 38.33 million per fight guaranteed to Mayweather.

That's not even counting anything else at all. Just from PPV buys, say they do 1 million even, that's $70.00*1,000,000.00 = $70,000,000.00

Floyd automatically takes ($38,000,000.00/$70,000,000.00)*100 = 54.75% of all PPV sales revenue.

So you are looking at like 45% of the remaining PPV sales figures to cover almost everything else. Take $3,000,000.00 to Guerrero, you are now down to $29,000,000.00 dollars. How much does it cost to rent the MGM for the event? How much for the air time on CBS? How much for the 5 part series? How much for the staff? Licensing fees? Sanctioning fees? Medical fees? Lodging & flights?

Seems like a lot of money but when all that comes out of it......I'd venture to guess they aren't making as much as they would like to make. That's at 1,000,000.00 PPV buys, much less if they did somewhere near 800,000.00 or worse.

I think what showtime is finding out is many fans watched at a movie theatre instead of on ppv, especially since showtime is in far fewer homes. I don't see it going so far above 1mil sales but it does seem awfully conveient that dan and kevin were able to get a source now but NEVER get sources when manny fights.

Showtime is contractually obligated to exaggerate Cherrypicker's ppv numbers above 1 million buys. haymon put that into the contract

Bad ppv numbers might be a good thing for Boxing fans. Showtime might try to influence Floyd to take some tougher fights
